Her husband is probably a Tammy Wynette fan and knows her famous song D-I-V-O-R-C-E ! Newsflash.....I just heard, Carnival are installing short planks for staff to go on long walks !!
She's got little girl issues...without getting too personsal. SERIOUSLY! She needs to take a long walk and look inside herself. This is not what a marriage is about, EVER. Almost 50 years of marrige to my husband and there is nothing more important about her cruise than whining about this??. Whoa girl. We love our staff on NCL BTW! It truely makes no sense for sure.
I should preface this by saying I've never had a problem with billing on board, it is charged to the room (Holland America first, last and always). I picked up on your comment of the workers perhaps projecting (if I may use that term) their inherent social values onto clients on board. I wonder if that isn't overridden on U.S. lines by staff training? Shouldn't it be? Overall, I must agree with you that this woman made a tempest in a teacup. She should have corrected the server politely and asked for the cheque. Better still, her husband should have deferred to her. I can't imagine it was a very pleasant cruise for them. Or the staff. Just as a societal note, I know plenty of couples who keep their bank accounts separate and negotiate their trips together; I have not witnessed any fisticuffs, assaults, verbal abuse, or divorces over this. At least, not among the adults I know.
I agree, I would hate so much to be married to the POS, Well it wouldn’t of gone there in the first place, today you can tell how a person really is, those angry entitled people I walk away from. So sad. Covid fried a lot of brain cells to many like this.
I pay for our travels. My husband and I have separate bank accounts because of bad experiences from our first marriages. However, he does help with extras like drink packages.I would not be offended if someone gave him the check. I'd just reach over and take it. I deal with checks for meals every time anyway, even when he pays since I'm the one who can see to read it. That woman is just a Karen and a miserable person. She is the opposite of woke. If she were woke, she would be understanding of cultural differences and would be willing to tip since she would know that the waitress was working way harder than any of us who can afford to cruise and she would want to reward that work. Just my two cents worth.
That is a silly letter to John Heald. I find most servers place the checks centrally. His setting was probably a bit more clearer. Seems like her excuse not to tip 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏽♀️. From her lips she bought and planned everything so she was paying anyway. So just take the check. Nothing to complain about

As long as the bill gets to the correct table I am happy even if the wrong bill shows up I know they will fix it
i am sure her husband would have given her the check. Plus, tips are automatically charged on most cruises. Joke is on her!?
She's got little girl issues...without getting too personsal. SERIOUSLY! She needs to take a long walk and look inside herself. This is not what a marriage is about, EVER. Almost 50 years of marrige to my husband and there is nothing more important about her cruise than whining about this??. Whoa girl. We love our staff on NCL BTW! It truely makes no sense for sure.
What did John say?
Such unfortunate people.
This is this "woke" society has come to. I miss the '70's, 80's, 90's
Her poor Husband! Hope she goes first so he can have a few years in widower peace! LOL
I agree, I would hate so much to be married to the POS, Well it wouldn’t of gone there in the first place, today you can tell how a person really is, those angry entitled people I walk away from. So sad.
Covid fried a lot of brain cells to many like this.
I feel sorry for your wife. If you have one
@Laurie911 WOW the misandry is strong with you
.
Can't fix stupid or Karens
