Totally man, so nostalgic watching this. Commentary was so much better back then. Still get goosebumps listening to the 99 CL final goals "Sheringham! Name on the trophy" lol. AND Martin Tyler losing it with Giggs FA semi final winner. Beautiful times ❤
Batistuta.... one of the 90's top 5 strikers. 10 years as a total beast, 9 of which at Fiorentina who were usually comfortably not one of Italy's big 3 clubs either which only makes his achievements that much greater (kinda like the trophyless wonder Harry Kane at Spurs!). Serie A was indeed world footballs league benchmark in the 90's despite the EPL emergence and Batistuta COMPLETED SERIE A. In the Prem he would have been a DESTROYER. Respect to Andy Cole but Batigol was on another level.
I truly feel sorry for the younger generation… I feel sorry that you couldn’t witness such an incredible era. Sorry that you missed the times when Serie A was truly Serie A, and Manchester United was the Manchester United. I feel sorry that you couldn’t see the days when Deportivo was Deportivo, and Manchester City was just a small village team. I’m sorry you couldn’t watch the Phenomenon Ronaldo, Adrianos, Batistutas, Christian Vieris, Shevchenkos, Recobas, Zidanes, Davidses, Maldini, Nesta, Cannavaros, Cafus, Roberto Carloses, and so many more. I’m truly sorry you missed all of that.
This game brings back the memories, from a utd fan Batistuta was a worldclass striker,it was in Italy where the cream of the crop played back in 90s early 2000s
Old Trafford used to get properly fired up for big European games. A tingle in the air, and you felt your duty was to roar them on, and we, the crowd, could make a difference to the outcome.
That was when the agents had not killed the game with excessive demand for £€€$. You can't earn those Rashford, Sancho or Casemiro kind of wages and have the work rate that goes with it. Football needs to go back to the realistic wage structure.
@@kazeemoni56 the issue is, players get insanely big contracts nowadays while they are still kids. I think when talented players change the clubs early and get big transfers early it puts a lot of pressurre on them and when they don't play good they are on the bench and it ruins their developement. Young talents are getting ruined by the pace of the modern game and how much transfers and money there is in the game nowadays. It takes time to grow into a mature top player. On one hand the money they get too early kills their motivation but also it puts too much pressurre too early and they just get crushed. There has never been so little top quality players as in the game nowadays. Football got really boring.
not even a utd fan but i miss the era of fergie tryna crack europe. he gave it everything, never dominated CL but picked up a couple of well deserved and might have been more if not for barca
My father (a devout Catholic and very much a God-fearing man) watched this game with me live. As Batistuta controlled the ball, cut inside, struck the ball, and rippled the back of the net in the blink of an eye, he exclaimed "FUCK...ing...hell!!!" I hope that goes some way to explaining how much of an impact Batistuta had on the pop culture of the time. Even Batigol made good men say bad things!
Not related in any way. I believe that if one of these legends would be managing current Man Utd, then it would be a different team, there would be transfer of winning spirit and impossible comebacks
People have forgotten how good and exciting Giggs was in the first half of his career! All the biggest clubs in the world wanted him and if he went he would of got a ballon dor 100% but at United he had to work as hard as the worst players instead of just attacking like Ferguson allowed Ronaldo to do and Giggs was much better than Ronaldo in the early years,he could also of been like Beckham but he didn't want it. Just watch him before he had to adapt his game and if played for England would be classed as our best player ever and maybe would of won a trophy
I mean, we (non-utd fan) had a joke about him putting away only one out of every ten chances. Great striker, terrific pace and off-the-ball movement. But technique is just so-so. Which I guess is why he was always overlooked for England. It doesn't help that his main rivals at that time were Shearer, Sheringham & prime Owen.
The football was so much more entertaining back then. It had a freedom about it. I've noticed that you rarely get interesting goals like a lob from the edge of the box or anything like that these days. I presume it's down to Pep type tactics and obsession with XG etc etc. Effective but boring.
Such a shame giggs didn’t play for England we surely would av won something with over half of England players playing for the same team…..with giggs,he was what England needed on that wing……,he did play for England schoolboys ….bet he regretted it in later career ,playing for wales as a youth making him ineligible (sorry 🐑 fans)😂
Ohh shiddd, Rui Costa🔮 &Enrico Chiesa on the bench.🤌🏼 These were the days... ✨️ Proper midweek European football @O.T with the Great Clive Tyldesley on commentary... Now we got complete muppets running round a forgotten stadium with holes in the roof and wazucks like Guy Mowbray on the mic. God that guy's annoying. Talks such horseshit.
This video absolutely sucks. First, the title is stupid & biased. Second, you are so sad that you had to cut out the Batistuta's worldie. How fragile you must be that you can't handle a goal against your precious team that is about to get relegated this season. The video should be called, if it wants to do justice to the the truth, "the goal that Ryan Giggs saw and never forgot!"
We wont see football like this again legends everywhere, So many teams had top class players
we were good at that time not these idiot today
Giggs was insane. Cole however deserve a special mention, he terrorised those defenders and his goal ws world class
Sickening how people downplay giggs as a player nowadays
@MH-vp7lf ur mum
Giggs best left footer to have ever played in the prem ❤❤
Two top quality team. Imagine having solskjaer+sheringham on the bench.. we had such a great squad.
When football was football
When man utd were a football team is what you really mean
Each generation says the same.
Absolutely
Totally man, so nostalgic watching this. Commentary was so much better back then. Still get goosebumps listening to the 99 CL final goals "Sheringham! Name on the trophy" lol. AND Martin Tyler losing it with Giggs FA semi final winner. Beautiful times ❤
When life was better too.

Giggs was Always my favourite player & Defender's didn't know which way to go when Giggs was at full speed 😅
legendary Fiorentina side with Rui and Bati. Toldo was also a great keeper.
Andy Cole man what a player 🔥

Fergie tried several times to get Batistuta. World class striker.
Batistuta shouldve joined em.
Wouldve made a bigger name for himself
This game brings back the memories, from a utd fan Batistuta was a worldclass striker,it was in Italy where the cream of the crop played back in 90s early 2000s
Batistuta was BadAss🦾
Bati-gol💥🎯
That was a disgusting assault on yorke to earn the red card
Batistuta wow
Bu günleri gördüyüm üçün xoşbextem...👍
I feel so bad for these kids who have to call the likes of mbappe and vini jr the best players in the world
Gabriel Batistuta🔥🔥
Ryan giggs was my favourite fottballer since 1996.😊
I would have loved Batistuta at United. Superb player.
Amazing 👏👏
These highlights don't exactly verify the title of the video
Old Trafford used to get properly fired up for big European games. A tingle in the air, and you felt your duty was to roar them on, and we, the crowd, could make a difference to the outcome.
Batistuta's goal was like a flying anvil, a streak of iron, but, unfortunately for Fiorentina, Cole's was a creepy streak...
My two favorite teams..❤
Good work bro. When football was really good.
Giggs is my most favorite legend
Giggsy is the best and more honor player of the football history
11💚🦁👑☀️❤️11
Yeah but he boned his brothers Mrs....no honor in that 😂
Miss those days champions league on itv
Great atmosphere that night. Old Trafford is so quiet these days. Batigol was a menace in his prime.
cole's equalizer, very under rated.
Atmospheres don't exist like this anymore, especially in England. Look at the work rate compared to now.

@siberianTiger639 You are absolutely correct 💯.
I was at this game.
The local working class fans have been priced out now, most of the big clubs (in PL i dont know about other countries) stadiums are full of tourists
What a goal from andy cole
My first game at Old Trafford ❤
I thing this is one of Best Manchester United team.
That United lineup my God 😂
Giggsy was an absolute menace in the Prem. Watching this and then watching this United team now is really a shame.
exactly, consider beckham and giggs on either side, and what we have today or have had for the last several years in comparison.
People today don’t know how good giggs was
good at pulling his brothers missus you mean?
When football was worth watching.
Money is killing football
When United were in their prime, direct, pace, at the opposition and never say die attittude.
Sekuat terbaik yg pernah mu miliki🔥
Batistu... teo là tiền đạo mà Sir rất muốn đưa về MU nhưng anh ấy lại yêu màu tím.
those united era was 100 times better than nowadays united era
Rui Costa ⚽️⚽️⚽️
Batistutaaaaaa !

love this story, wishin you and pa a lovely year all around.
The longevity of Chiesa isn't talked about now. No wonder he's struggling to get game time now at Liverpool.
😂
How I wish I could go back to 1999
And today united team.....😢
Unreal players
Federico Chiesa is the spitting image of his dad!
Repka👌
The days when football was football.
⚽️⚽️⚽️❤❤❤
This is my Manchester United not the current chaos.
Not related in any way.

Coming here for antidote to today…
The "all Ole goals" video is a good antidepressant
Ryan Giggs so underrated
"Мы не за деньги играли - мы в футбол играли"
Wow insane how much we have fallen…
God, what Utd would do for a Giggs-type player now...and a Keane or Scholes too, for that matter...
I don't think Keane was ever really replaced. The closest they came to filling the gap was Hargreaves, and he was just too injury prone.
People have forgotten how good and exciting Giggs was in the first half of his career! мне кажется Манчестер с таким составом и тренером выйграл бы сейчас абсолютно всё
When they had players like giggs, scholes, are Red Devil
United’s bench for this game would walk into the current side and waltz top 4 .
Facts
I wonder what Roy Keane says at 5:14 😂🤔😂😂
Fun golf? 😂😂😂
@@abdulmohsin78 no, c'mon he says "fun elf!" hahahahah
Chiesa the dad to Liverpool's chiesa
عندما كانت كرة القدم
Agree
Everything was original in those years
He was Ryan Giggs
Batty gol was a absolute beast. What would he be worth in today's market?? Frightening to think
I think this was about the time when Keane was asking for a pay rise and threatening to leave.
am from Kenya nowadays am crying when my team is so useless
Always thought Cole was a bit hit and miss fir united but what a finish that was
20 x better than Rashford’s ever been
@ ?

Unfortunetly, MU met Madrid in knock out.
5:14 typical Keano😁
E la madonna!! Quando il calcio era calcio.

Why would he not forget Ryan Giggs performance? One good cross and nothing else productive.
Before Pep and VAR killed football
Batigol
i dont watch Man Utd match after the retirement of Sir Alex...........it is completely a different team.
Pretty sure he's forgotten
1998/99 season
I bet he does not give a castlemaine
When Manchester United was a Greatest Football Team ❤.. Now bunch of Lazy players 😢😩🤔
That fiorentina team would beat most the teams in wurope now lol
It was not an easy team, even in this match. It was about some individual brilliance that made Man Utd win
Because of the hilariously bad shots? Cole did more than Giggs in that match.
According to Arsenal fans, Kai Harvets is better than Ryan Giggs
Better then wasn’t it
It was good football
I love then football ...now football is so bored and very longtime 🤣🤣🤣
Such a shame giggs didn’t play for England we surely would av won something with over half of England players playing for the same team…..with giggs,he was what England needed on that wing……,he did play for England schoolboys ….bet he regretted it in later career ,playing for wales as a youth making him ineligible (sorry 🐑 fans)😂
Fio vs mu 2 - 0,,,,,mu vs fio 3 - 1 😅😅😅😅

Cole was an amazing player but as crazy as it sounds he slightly under achieved at personal level
Not sure why this video is about Giggs? 🤔
This is 1 of the poorest edited videos I’ve ever watched
You telling me modern day football is a better level than this nonsense !
