I am a big fan of WB but just discovered this song. It's a lovely, sad ballad about the end of a love affair. Yuko often writes the ballads, but this is by Machiya. I keep listening to it over and over, enthralled by the purity of Yuko's voice, the delicate fingering of the guitar, and Yuko's subdued accompaniment. This line makes me weep: "Sad isn't it. Even when people are far away from each other, they can still walk away."
What I said when i linked this on my facebook page: There is a lot of beautiful music out there in the world, from Arabia, Africa and Asia and more. and tho we may not understand the words, if we pay attention, we can feel the sentiment and realize that our emotions are the same as those others we thought were so different and exotic.
A LOT of people don't realize just how good a singer Machiya is. He is great in his duets with Yuko, especially in Synchronicity, but this really shows his singing chops.
Those guys' professionalism can't stop to amaze. Both are playing and singing absolutely perfectly. This acoustic format allows to appreciate it even more. Hope to see more piano+guitar duets from Wagakki Band!
The first time I heard this I was in tears. This woman has one of the most beautiful voices I ever heard (when she's not singing like Tarzan), and that 'DRESS' and those 'FLOWERS' in her hair. Just THAT alone should be a poster. And Machiya tore me up. With the emotions he gives in this song (and I dont even know what he's saying) either someone has hurt him bad or he's deeply in love with someone special. You can feel it when he cringes in this song and especially at the end when he does the BRRRP thing on the guitar. His frustration, no wonder why so many Japanese commit suicide, the feelings so deep. Keep it up, dont stop, power to you 'ALL'.

The frustration in Machiya's face and the emotions he displays makes me remember how many times I went through that and felt exactly the same way. So I thought it might be over a woman he loves dearly. This song is so 'GREAT', everytime I hear it I KNOW I've been through the storm --- came out dusty, hit by lightning, walk with a limp - but still ALIVE. So it is a very sad AND joyous song. Sometimes at the same time. Thats what makes it so GREAT. (it's a thin line between love and hate)
"When she's not singing like Tarzan"????? I don't think you appreciate the great skill and training it takes to sing in the classic shigin style. Yuko is trying to reintroduce an ancient art form to a younger audience. I don't think you understand the culture or the intention of this band.
@@davida4022 OK, so I'm an asshole. But I just gave this band one of my highest compliments ever which is something I rarely do, which means that I have one of the greatest respects for this band. I do understand the intention of the band trying to combine antient with modern and I think they do an excellent job. But I did not know that the singing style was part of it. Thank you for explaining this to me, and in the future I will try to be a better asshole.
I'd say that these people are just burstin with pure talent but I also know there is a lot of hard work to maintain such skill. And just as well I'm sure that they also have a passion for it. You cannot emit the wide and powerful range of emotions as they do without it also being a pleasure for the artists themselves. A truly magnificent thing to witness and hopefully one day I will be there in person to experience their Magic. Thank you, uploader for sharing this with everyone else

Forget about language barriers when you listen to music (esp. world music). Lyrics belong to literature, not music per se.
I can't love this performance enough. So much underrated talent. It's so beautiful, words can't express!
