I've listened to Doppo at least 200 times, on TH-cam, in the car, walking and just listening, and I just realized that even though the songs are different and the story within songs are slightly different, Doppo reminds me so much of that classic ballad "On My Own" by Patti LaBelle and Michael McDonald. And I think that Machiya, being the writer of Doppo, would agree with me if he heard the song. Both songs are classic tales of love on the rocks.
I have never seen a group with so much talent, so much love for music and so much friendship for each other. I think that's what can be heard in their music. It makes their music a living phenomenon. How incredibly grateful I am that I got to know the band and for the comfort that Yuko's songs often offer me. Wagakki band, thank you all. Love from Holland, Jeroen

Expressions without words. Dynamics!!! 5:50 Didn’t expect an acoustic version of this song. The addition of the cello? ❤❤❤ 7:18 Key change! Sublime to hear at slow tempo. 8:41 Machiya became the KOTO! What is going on? The musicians in these people! 9:10 vocal slay-age!

I am always amazed at the variety of songs composed by Machiya. Doppo is so different from Homura. It is especially nice to see Yuko playing the piano. Their voices are so beautiful and perfect together. I hope Yuko has recovered and is home with her new baby girl.

Discovered this band only today. Pity it has already disbanded. The audience is as professional as the musicians. Never saw such synchronised energy.
