    Nice review, and totally agree. Been riding the exact same demo bike as you, and really like it. Just fun to ride Really hard to beat the value for the money there on the group set and power side, very solid. And of course, glad to hear the DCR Analyzer is makin’ ya happy.

      Well if both of you endorse the Rigid, a lot of my Grit fork FOMO is fading - I'll just have to go for it. 😅

      Hey DC and Ben, any insight on sizing of this bike? It's a hard comparison to my 2020 Trek Checkpoint based on geo. I'm 6'3 and ride a tad smaller bike, 58cm Trek. Which size were you guys on and how tall are you?

    While in heatwave 'quarantine' here in Athens-Greece, I miss my bike so videos like these are so appreciated. Man, you surprise us with such picturesque (and so GREEN) scenery, beautiful bikes and speedy footage for cycling inspiration. I envy you (always) in a good way and I wish you happy rides!!

    Ben I have been searching and searching and I’m not sure my ideal bike exists:
    -45mm tire clearance
    -Endurance geometry
    -Downtube storage
    -Bosses for triangle bag (like the Checkmate or Grail)
    -Can fit SRAM Rival road 2x groupset without affecting tire clearance
    -Under $3000.
    Trek Checkpoint gets close, but it’s a little more expensive, doesnt seem to fit SRAM Rival (inner chainring is too big) and has 55mm clearance.
    Grail gets close but might be too aggressive for this 50 year old body….

    Interested in the Seigla but hesitant without being able to ride one. Currently on a 2017 Spec Diverge Expert with 2x ultegra, CblGblr post and shokstop stem for comfort. It's light and fast but limited to 35c tires. What do you see as the benefits of the Seigla over my current setup? If any. Obviously tire size, elec shifting, power meter. What about speed, comfort?

    Hey Ben, love the review. Would you recommend the new ventum gs1 or the lauf seigla rigid?

  • @AllenStauffer
    @AllenStauffer ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for sharing your thoughts! This is great timing for me as I'm agonizing over how to configure a Seigla to buy 😅 Did you find yourself wishing for the suspension fork at all or was the Rigid a pretty decent ride? Fork aside, I'm torn between the lower 3 spec levels - I don't feel like i need electronic shifting, but I'm leaning towards stepping up to Core or Weekend Warrior Wireless for the 12 speed and wider cassette range. I've thought about Core and adding the $200 power meter, but then I'm almost to the price of the WWW anyway and missing a couple of other benefits, but this all gets so expensive so fast, part of my just wants to hop into the base model and stop thinking about it...

      @@unaffiliated_razorblade Awesome I hope you like it! I'm leaning towards Rigid WW Wireless right now, but have almost checked out with 3 other configurations today also so.. I'll never decide. 😅

      I don't like the True Grit leaf suspension fork, so no. As for the price creep of nicer/lighter/more... you're on your own there, buddy. Ha! That said, having a wide range of gears is something I absolutely appreciate and recommend. Good luck!

    I saw the video where you loved the Revolt as your top gravel bike, how does this compare?

    • @TheRidewithBenDelaney
      @TheRidewithBenDelaney  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is similar in terms of me giving it a hearty thumbs up, yes. One of the reasons I love the Revolt is that it comes in such a wide array of builds that it is easy to recommend for folks with different budgets. Lauf is a much smaller company so doesn’t have that range.

    • @TheRidewithBenDelaney
      @TheRidewithBenDelaney  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've ridden a few Laufs and I don't really like the True Grit fork. Massive tire clearance without weird geo, a comfortable ride and a screaming price are noteworthy, in my book.

    • @LeConcerto
      @LeConcerto ปีที่แล้ว

      It's 1x and uses a BSA73, not proprietary, so that it can fit 57mm tires.
      Just get a Canyon if you don't need the tire clearance. Get the Lauf Fork separately if that's what you're after.

    • @pmcmpc
      @pmcmpc ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LeConcerto tire clearance is useless as It's a long, low fit (but low FC and WB) that you wouldn't want to take close to anything gnarly. and an acquaintance has one .... 2.1s are too tight on wide rims. He had to go with 2.0s. The claimed 2.25 is miles off. It's not standard BSA73 and it needs a proprietary crankset ...
