    Classy looking ride - thanks to Lauf not forcing some of the colors we've been seeing on competitor rides that seem kind of grim - factory worker gray, oppressed workers of the world olive drab, black as my soul black with matte finish. Some brighter colors are just what the doctor ordered and white is classy - although if you do a lot of serious gravel riding you'll be washing it a lot after riding!

  • @Outsideville

    Changing your setup (stem) the night before a big ride sounds like it could be problematic. I'd just stick with the setup you've been training on to avoid a surprise ache or handling change.

    • @galenkehler
      @galenkehler 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thats what he's trying to do. Adapting a brand new bike, with different geometry and setup (and suspension fork) isn't completely 1:1. But if you listen, that's what he's saying.

    My favourite part about the bike: The threaded bottom bracket.
    Actually, my favourite parts are the gorgeous frame and satisfyingly simple fork suspension, both of which seem ideally suited to the higher-frequency vibrations of gravel. But unlike a threaded bottom bracket, my budget can't afford to like those quite as much.

    I’m enjoying the bike so far th-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.
