It’s my birthday weekend and Ian has treated us all to a mini 3 night cruise aboard MSC Virtuosa 🙌
Join us on embarkation day where we give you our initial thoughts.
( I’m sorry a lot of this video is my face 🫣. It was so busy I think I was trying to not film other people up close 😬)

Ah I’m so glad you commented. We forgot to ask your names. It was so nice meeting the 3 of you (strange it was on a cruise tho 😂). Love a good old Disney chat. @@theburgesses2004 We’re sailing from Southampton to Northern Europe & the Fjords on the Dream 😍, can’t wait! Only done Marella and Royal Caribbean cruises before, so it’ll be fab to see what Disney is like ☺️

We will be on the ship June 17, 2023 on a 7 day cruise. It is fully booked as well- and honestly, after seeing everyone in your video. I'm a little nervou with so many people on board. Curious what your experience level (Bella, Fantastica or Aurea) did you guys get? This is our first cruise with MSC and only our second so far- the other being Celebrity Beyond. Thank you for posting the video and all your hard work you put in. It really helps all of us future cruisers. Also how was the weather?
Hi. Oh I’m surprised to hear a June sailing is full. I would have thought that would be perfect time for a quieter cruise. I think it all comes down to timing so a few tips.. make note when you’re changing time zone. This caught us out and we ended up at breakfast at the same time as everyone else! If you want to use the arcade don’t wait til the last day. We were in fantastica xx

Can i ask... in cabin do they supply slipoers, towels, and food wise do they have containers for you to take some food to eat away from the restaurant?

Ah thank you. No slippers in the cabin but you do all get a pool towel and then the usual towels. We found that housekeeping didn’t change the pool towel though but you could swap them up by the pool for a clean one.
I’m not sure if there were containers. We took a plate with a plate on top back to the room. I did see someone ask for a pizza box and they were told they were for delivery pizzas only.

We got the FANTASTICA but looking now we should have just got BELLA.. i mean there was only 3 cab8ns left... and i m not fussed on wat time we eat..
@@forgetfuljulie773 that’s the package we had. Only option at time of booking. Didn’t really make any difference. X
Was on this ship last October for a week, Southampton, down to France, then Spain. Phenomenal cruise.
So good in fact, that we're going again this October.
Great ship, great facilities, great cabin crew. Just great. Brilliant vlog guys

Are the bars table service or do you just queue like a normal bar?
Bit of both I think. I did see people at the bar but I know that people have commented in forums about table service. We didn’t drink from any of them so can’t 100% confirm x
Can I ask how you ended up with a 9:45pm dinner seating?
The option was early or late dinner. We went with late thinking it would be about 8:30pm. You don’t find out the time until you are given your cruise card. X
Hiya, did you try to change your dining time in the end?
No. The ship was full so I heard there was no movement when it came to changing times. I doubt there would have been many people who would choose a 9:45 sitting 😬

@@michellecrawford7986 I believe it is usually a possibility just like if you are put on a table of 8 but want your own table. You can speak to the maitre d. X
Did they have midnight buffet everyday? Was it a full buffet?
The kids think it was just desserts such as cookies, fruit and pizza. But they weren’t looking for anything else so could be more. X
May I please ask what are the menu items on the kids menu?
I only took a quick glance (should have recorded it) I don’t know think it was overly kid friendly but I do have fussy kids. I think a lot of fish. Maybe a pasta and burger. X
Well I was considering trying cruising with a 2 night to Guernsey next May on this ship. Thank goodness I watched your vlog. Definitely not booking this one!

Where you queuing to drop bags off at the start of the video?
Yes this was the queue to drop bags off then you join the security queue then upstairs for check in. It’s just one long line that you follow. X

I would never do a 3 nighter on msc they are renowned booze cruises and queues everywhere just not my thing. Great vlog though
It certainty was this! With only the 4 days off and my birthday on the Saturday the timing of this cruise was perfect. We still had a great time. I’m just glad we don’t drink so avoided the bar queues 😃
TACKY. red wine with chicken, loud in the corridors at nearly midnight, opening both doors so it whistles right down the corridor waking people. thank goodness i always use the Yacht Club.
You are so right. How terribly awful to pair a red wine with chicken. So tacky 🙄

I can’t fault MSC and the crew to be honest. There was just something missing and I can’t put my finger on it x
