While we suspected one was coming soon, Kev and Stacey we didn't think it would be quite this quick! Another balcony too! All for a wonderful price. We've noticed some really great prices from Ft. Lauderdale in Florida too. Looks like another lovely boat and we're like you. I like people but really prefer to eat by ourselves or with close fiends or family. Enjoyed day one of your new cruise and loved the music. You look great, Stacy, dancing to Kiss! Thanks so much for bringing us along.

loved the video lots of useful info, as we are booked for October this year. Just a note about the parking, I've booked with "Your parking space" which is a 10 min walk from the terminal, (will drop bags off at the terminal before parking) and 5 days cost £24.00 with cancellation insurace, ABParking quoted me £95.00. Also watched your video on the rfood onboard the Virtuosa it was excellent.
Didn't expect to see one so soon, Just got back from our Norwegian one. It's interesting to see the differences between cruise lines having just refreshed my mind about /what HAL is like. 1) We didn't need negative tests 2) As a covid thing we got our room key cards outside our room where they put daily programmes etc. Also all the stuff with HAL like cards etc is online and can be done weeks in advance. 3) What a party ship compared to HAL, may have to try big ship cruising at some point, it looks so different. 4) Also, when our cards say a dining time and room, ours have always had open dining next to it, so never actually had set dining before. It'll be interesting to see how it works. 5) Yes those barges are fueling boats normally, if you go somewhere like Amsterdam or Rotterdam barges do so much more, like they take rubbish off and load the ship with supplies given the cities reliance with canals 6) If cruise lines have spare rooms they often sell them cheap because well cruise lines make more money off what you spend on board normally, having a couple of extra rooms filled basically doesn't make their costs much more as the crew are onbard etc. 7) never sailed from Southampton because HAL doesn't sail from there, but seems to be working for you which is good. 8) Sails from Southampton are great due to the solent. Also, don't be surprised by the other ships, Southampton regularly gets 4 ships a day :) Anyway, looking forward to the rest of the videos when I watch them :)

Nice video. We booked our MSC Virtuosa too far next April on a 12 nights sailing to Portugal and Spain (Canary Islands) and we also got a DEEP discount. Too good to let it pass by. We paid £1052.90 for 2 people including all taxes in a balcony cabin. We could not believe it.

Loving the vlogs. Didn't know you lived near us. We are live just outside Derby. Taking our first cruise in January 23 on Arvia to the carribean. So enjoy picking up hints and tips from first time cruisers as well as experienced cruisers.
Try everything, but don't be worried if you don't like something, you don't have to go to the show every night for example. Also, try to really only pack what you need, depending on the toom type they aren't big so you don't want the space cluttered with unnecessary items
I think cruising must be more expensive in Europe than here in Australia. You could pick up sale fares like yours fairly regularly here with lines like P&O and Carnival. I've just accepted an offer from Carnival for a 9 night South Pacific cruise for two in an interior cabin for $618 AUD (£315). Although, that sort of price is not typical, I actually think I got sent a casino offer by mistake.

Thank you so much. MSC are very relaxed with there evening dress code. Jeans and a top are fine. Even if they did have a formal evening you can still wear what you want, apart from swimming shorts lol.

Hi, I was wondering that those passengers that don't purchase the drink package, are they allowed to bring there own fizzy drinks onboard or is that considered forbidden items and you are to purchase them on the ship and pay about 6 or 7 times more?
We have always managed to take them on all our cruises. If one ever stopped us then that's fine a few cans of pop isn't much too lose 😁 hard to keep up with all the cruise lines policies as they are all different I think
Going on the Virtuosa out of Dubai over christmas. We are paying about 3500 USD for a family of 4 (2 teens) in an aft facing balcony cabin, and including a drinks package. Been on the Seaside out of Miami before and were very happy with MSC.

Going on this ship next month, seen some bad reviews but your video has made that better😂 which Covid test kit did you buy? Does it have to be one where you get an official certificate?
Yes you need a certificate. We use randox fit to fly at home antigen tests. You can pick them up from a lot of local shops and do ot the night before boarding
I’m on virtuosa in a few weeks from Southampton and the covid test requirement is confusing me, did you just have to get a lateral flow negative test certificate or did you need a PCR? love the videos thanks ☺️ x

We didn't have the drinks package. They have different offers on when you book for drinks package. Parking was about £90, we spent less than £300 on the ship with 2 meals drinks and a few things from the shop

Hi, we have always parked at the West Quays Multi story and have never had a problem. There are also official cruise parking companies, but just bear in mind they will cost more 👍

Ay up duck. I would leave about 7am for a 12 boarding. Get past Birmingham as quick as i could then have a steady drive and a stop. Plus if you get there early just try go on and get up to the buffet lol
Did Virtuosa last June. Personally we were not impressed and have gone with PO next year. We got one week inc drinks for £699 which was a good deal but food let it down for us x
@@OneCouplesAdventure I am veggie and the options were poor. We felt that PO Britannia was far superior but it was more expensive. Have you seen the MSC review Ben and David. They’re big cruise bloggers and our experience was similar to theirs.
When did you go? Stacey had some great veggie food on gala night, the veggie selection in the buffet was alot better than on the p&o iona. Ben and David went straight after lock down when there was still alot of restrictions. Do you eat fish? On the last night we ate in the buffet i had 6 different fish dishes.

Glad I came across this video as I booked my parents onto a MSC Virtuosa Cruise for 2 weeks time last minute through cruisenation so i'm happy to see its legit as I too couldn't believe the price. Didn't get it anywhere near as cheap as you guys but still got a fantastic price on a balcony room. Watched a few of your other videos from the ship so i'll have to show them all of them. Although I regret watching the food videos as all it has done is made me hungry 😂

Hi Kate we only booked it a couple of weeks before we went and didn't have the time change from what we were originally given. Have they changed yours by much ?
Just go to the machine like we showed in the video. Place your room card on the machine. Select the people who you want to be able to spend on your card. Then just swipe your credit card. The £250 is a standard hold that is put on your card just like when you stay at a hotel they ask for your card and put a hold on for damages. But they put a hold on for spending
You have to show them your negative certificate. You have to do a home test where you send off your results via a picture and they email you the certificate. We use randox at home fit to fly antigen tests

Hi, I was wondering that those passengers that don't purchase the drink package, are they allowed to bring there own fizzy drinks onboard or is that considered forbidden items and you are to purchase them on the ship and pay about 6 or 7 times more?
We have always managed to take them on all our cruises. If one ever stopped us then that's fine a few cans of pop isn't much too lose 😁 hard to keep up with all the cruise lines policies as they are all different I think

Going on the Virtuosa out of Dubai over christmas. We are paying about 3500 USD for a family of 4 (2 teens) in an aft facing balcony cabin, and including a drinks package.
Been on the Seaside out of Miami before and were very happy with MSC.

You can take as much as you want. So long as each case doesn't weigh more than 23kg

Going on this ship next month, seen some bad reviews but your video has made that better😂 which Covid test kit did you buy? Does it have to be one where you get an official certificate?
Yes you need a certificate. We use randox fit to fly at home antigen tests. You can pick them up from a lot of local shops and do ot the night before boarding
I’m on virtuosa in a few weeks from Southampton and the covid test requirement is confusing me, did you just have to get a lateral flow negative test certificate or did you need a PCR? love the videos thanks ☺️ x
Just the lateral flow the day before. We use randox its really simple on there app and you get the certificate quick

Right at the front of the cruise terminal before you enter there are people there to take your cases off you

We didn't have the drinks package. They have different offers on when you book for drinks package.
Parking was about £90, we spent less than £300 on the ship with 2 meals drinks and a few things from the shop

Hi, we have always parked at the West Quays Multi story and have never had a problem. There are also official cruise parking companies, but just bear in mind they will cost more 👍

Ay up duck. I would leave about 7am for a 12 boarding. Get past Birmingham as quick as i could then have a steady drive and a stop. Plus if you get there early just try go on and get up to the buffet lol

Did Virtuosa last June. Personally we were not impressed and have gone with PO next year. We got one week inc drinks for £699 which was a good deal but food let it down for us x
All the food? We enjoyed the food. Felt the buffet had a great choice. The pizza and pasta were really nice as it was made fresh
@@OneCouplesAdventure I am veggie and the options were poor. We felt that PO Britannia was far superior but it was more expensive. Have you seen the MSC review Ben and David. They’re big cruise bloggers and our experience was similar to theirs.
When did you go? Stacey had some great veggie food on gala night, the veggie selection in the buffet was alot better than on the p&o iona. Ben and David went straight after lock down when there was still alot of restrictions. Do you eat fish? On the last night we ate in the buffet i had 6 different fish dishes.
We went June 2020 so just after Ben and David. Maybe it’s better now ? You did get excellent deal! Dont eat a lot of fish tbf.

Its fine lol. Ye you need to get a negative certificate. We use randox there at home lateral flow is about £11 if you click and collect from a local shop

Glad I came across this video as I booked my parents onto a MSC Virtuosa Cruise for 2 weeks time last minute through cruisenation so i'm happy to see its legit as I too couldn't believe the price. Didn't get it anywhere near as cheap as you guys but still got a fantastic price on a balcony room. Watched a few of your other videos from the ship so i'll have to show them all of them. Although I regret watching the food videos as all it has done is made me hungry 😂

Hey guys how do i activate my cruise card when i go in dec and what is the £250 for?
Just go to the machine like we showed in the video. Place your room card on the machine. Select the people who you want to be able to spend on your card. Then just swipe your credit card. The £250 is a standard hold that is put on your card just like when you stay at a hotel they ask for your card and put a hold on for damages. But they put a hold on for spending

Coffee, different teas, water and juices are availble in the buffet all day and night

How do you prove negative test results?
You have to show them your negative certificate. You have to do a home test where you send off your results via a picture and they email you the certificate. We use randox at home fit to fly antigen tests
We have home covid tests that we can send off to the gov website is that right it do you need to have a certain branded one?
I've booked virtuosa pretty cheap it's because all the cruisers are pretty posh and MSc doesn't have the best reviews

Yeah we certainly dropped on, be surprised if we got one that cheap again though. This wasn't directly through MSC, if was a third party company
