Tbh Jonathan is so underrated, people shit on him just because he "has no personality" and he was "dumb". Neither of that is true. Even if it was a little rushed and unnoticed, even Jonathan had his character development, he went from being a spoiled brat that daydreamed about being a "gentleman" and being disinterested about a lot of things, he became a real gentleman that learned to fight for his family and loved ones, he even went from actually despising Dio to being able to forgive him, but he knew he needed to defeat him. Jonathan is actually intelligent, I mean, he barely know how to use hamon "Zeppeli just had a "long week" to train him, so obviously he was a half-baked hamon user, Jonathan had to masterize his Hamon in his journey (the fight with Jack the ripper is the best example of this), he didn't know anything about Hamon techniques at all, thats why he creates his special attacks out of mere strategy and using what he thinks would help (Metal Silver overdrive and Turquoise blue overdrive are good examples), he is extremely talented and a good strategist, in the most gentlemanly way (Just because Joseph uses more trickery for his attacks and even play with his enemies doesn't make Jonathan a fool for being straightforward).

For speed, if you compare his Sunlight Yellow Overdrive to a Star Platinum Beatdown, it might just be me but it looks like they punch in a very similar speed. Jonathan was the best, he got a raw deal in the end. I also preferred Hamon to Stands, it relied more on Jojo’s creativity than having an OP spirit warrior do your work for you. Though Star Platinum was badass!
