Dude, when I got into the game it was like 1st grade. I remember seeing kids during recess with these cards that had the most beautiful artwork on the front and back. I was absolutely blown away, and these kids then kinda explained the game a little bit as the games continued. After about a week of me watching these kids play this game, they had all contributed a little bit of cards that they didn’t need so that I too had my own deck to play with. One of the best days of my life man. I’m 24 now, and within the past year I’ve gotten back into it mega after watching these videos. I absolutely love how the game is played now a days, and opening packs is just ridiculously ADDICTING. My og cards are kept in the og tin, and my guy, the smell..... You don’t choose sniff gang, sniff gang chooses you at birth.
Got back into collecting a couple months ago after not doing so for over 10 years. Crazy to see how much the game has changed, but that much more excited to rebuild my collection!
Need a video explaining what a new player should know going in, in terms of just overall knowledge. That would be dope! Also love that trish made a comeback ❤️
I quit way back 2012 or something, my deck was called Prophecy deck, it relies on spellbook cards. Now I want to get back to the game. It feels nostalgic
I always watched the anime when I was younger but I never played which I regret, so my mates taking me to the shops to get some structure decks so I can finally play I can’t wait
Here's what made me get into YGO: I used to go to art class (outside of school) when I was little. The art teacher gave us points based on how many drawings we drew and how good those drawings were. We could then trade in those points for prizes. After I got bored from getting pencils and erasers and stuff, I saved up points for 5 months. Until I had enough to buy the Felgrand structure deck and my brother bought the Blue Eyes structure deck. Ever since then, me and him have been playing Yugioh. We've never been to locals (not yet); We just duel with each other.
just got back into yu-gi-oh after 7 years only bought a few packs up till now. came across this video tha ks for the information! definitely a subscriber now
debating getting into this game full bore after having dabbling back in 2002. this is helpful to know where I should start. the lack of set rotation is really the only thing that makes it difficult.
So I just happen to randomly see this video after not playing for more than 15 years. My last deck from what i remember was the monarch deck. I missed the feeling of dueling with friends and going to local tourneys. Now I see yugioh being very complicated. Synchros and links I have no idea about. I want to learn but I don’t have a local card shop like this one. Maybe one day
What made me get into the game is playing with my friends, nostalgia invaded myself when using some of their decks when playing with them, because mine was very outdated, had so much fun and decided to get more into the game. The problem about playing what i love is that i love many different decks and my wallet feels like crying :( Very nice video ^^ Would love to play Shaddolls, like the style quite a lot.
love the videos man! I haven't touched a Yugioh pack since 2001 after some kids beat me up for my deck :( Here i am 28 yrs old now obsessed with your vids! Keep it up man!
Agreed! It is actually very good, yet underrated. I don't know why I don't see a lot of people playing it! I'm doing my best to make it as competitive as possible.
Used to play as a kid, played in toys r us tournaments and some local tournaments back in the og and gx days. Dark scorpions was and still is my favorite deck, now I’m back into the game because I ran across your channel and teamaps in the youtube recommendations. Keep up the great work the real king of games 😤🤝
The Rokket Revolt and Mechanized Madness holds very special places in my heart🙏 Machinas was the first archetype I ever made a deck of and the Rokket structure deck was the deck that got me back into the game🙏

Just got back into collecting yugioh cards about 3 weeks ago now because of all the wonderful memories I had of me playing yugioh forbidden memories when I was a kid!
I’ve restarted playing & collecting cards 1/2 months ago (after years) thanks to your videos and now I’m collecting the cards I love, feel so good to be back
Yugioh cards are like wine. Vast, varied, and unique. People always ask what wine is good or best. I say, just drink what you like. Ultimately, it's about your experience and having fun.
Got back into yugioh back in summer of 2019 after seeing the cover of infinity chasers and falling in love with witchcrafters. I am verre's daddy and Haine's "Daddy"
So I dusted off my old stuff the other day, the first thing that really flooded me with nostalgia was the sight my old deck. It was really dusty tho but the cards were still clear. Back in 07-09 after school all the duelists in our school would gather in the cafeteria and play. Our head duelist was our biology teach, also the main dude who we get our cards from for a price lol. So I have my deck here beside me as we speak, really looking forward to get back in the game and my God a lot has changed. Sad there's not much peoople in my community who still plays. Anyways I subbed and'll be looking forward for future vids my bruh! :)
I got back into the game because it was something that one of my childhood best friends and I did before he passed. I’ve loved Yugioh for a long time and it’s always been fun.
I wish I collected Yugioh cards instead of Pokémon cards when I was younger. I've only recently realized how fun the game actually is after starting with Master Duel. Better late than never.
As somebody who's returning to the game after 16+ years. I didn't want to play pendulum and link monsters. Picked up dinosmashers on a whim. Ended up getting one more. Though, even back then I was annoyed with the game because the font was too small, and it seems like it's only gotten worse over time. =O
Nostalgia was a major factor, which got me into Yugioh. Around 2017, saw that DSOD film in theaters, also saw variety of og related products at Walmart. Things like yugi/kaiba structure decks, or the box set with the god cards and the 3 decks (exodia, red-eyes, and blue-eyes). Newer products, but referenced the og yugioh I knew from 2002-2003.

My son wanted to play so we went to Walmart and we each picked up 3 structure decks. I picked up 3x Rokket Revolt and he got 3x Shaddoll Showdown. I found I have a lot of fun playing and following the game on youtube, for example watching the TeamSamuariX1 channel.
So I got into the game when I was super young. I'm a neurodivergent person and I hated reading and math at the time(I was also somewhere between 3 and 5 so I threw fits when someone tried to make me). I actually just visited dolly’s yesterday and met Lawrence, I picked up a phantom rage booster box there and pulled 2 secret rares, it’s a really cool store!
Getting back into the game because of childhood nostalgia 🥵
Same that's why I run blue eyes
