I never realized how fitting 06’s style of music would be in a Modern Sonic game.
Sonic 06 is a modern Sonic game it's not a classic

Somehow the model makes the game more acceptable for me.
Forces sonic looks odd. Like they didn't give much effort at all into modeling it, he also looks childish tbh. 06 Sonic looks great though. You can tell they had the modern and serious feel in mind when making him
The model is somewhat accurate, but I was never a fan of the long spikes/shoes. Also not a fan of how short his spikes are in Forces. Unleashed definitely did it right for me.
Nah, I think that the music and Sonic lines that made it more acceptable.

The model port itself is pretty cool, but HOLY DANG those animations! They go so perfectly with that model! That's how 06 *should* have been animated, tbh.

The model isn't a exactly straight port, the face is from the Forces model, and the proportions have been tweaked to fit the animations. Still, it looks good.
The Sonic 06 looks better in forces than the game he came from.
Sonic 06 Generations looks better than Forces which also look's better than 06.
06 sonic looks great in the actual gameplay of 06. It’s just the in game cutscenes that look off.

Jason Griffith didn't deserve the hate he got when he was Sonic

Drummond will always be the best, but Jason certainly didn't deserve the hate
Jason griffith is my personal favorite... although is performance in 06 was kinda... eh. unleashed was when he did his best
yeah he didnt deserve it, but also Ryan didnt deserve it as well and even worse since when he first did sonic's voice back at Sonic Adventure people really *REALLY* hated him because sonic doesnt have to talk because "talking ruins sonic" just because it was a nightmare to even do the VO for Adventure hence the kinda hate the japanese team and VA had with the American team, but people tend to forget that hating on the VA for sonic its kinda a awful "tradition" certain "fans" tend to have, Ryan did his best on Adventure 2 and even so was pretty damn lacking in some areas, same goes for Jason where he most shined in Unleashed.
Look at first i was pretty mad when Sega replaced Jason for Roger because i didnt saw Roger as a sonic since he always did Chris Redfield voice and it was pretty ok for the character, but for sonic i kinda thought it was a god awful choice, then later on he started to get a little better with the role more in Colors and Gens since i think those were more fun to do than the rest (RoL, SLW, etc) i think no matter the guy that does sonic's voice really deserves any kind of "hate" because i think its a very difficult thing to do since its more easy to be an actor than a voice actor so every VA tries his best at the role at hand, even with Tails where we had a child doing his voice people *TRASHED* him because he sound silly and "stupid" for an 300 IQ two tailed fox, heck i even hated how unnecesary menacing Eggman sounded back at SA, SA2 and Heroes, i always liked more Pollock but hey there are people that really liked Eggman's VA at those games and you know? i kinda understand why, but i still think he was unnecesary "evil" or to put it more simple, he was too evil for what the game was for.
There's something very satisfying about this model in Forces
I can't quite explain what makes this look so good, but it just looks better than the Forces model for me.

maybe to color palette, and the enviroment sonic is in forces instead of the real world inspired setting that was soleanna
maybe the spikes? in the forces model sonic's spikes are way too short, while the 06 one has the largest spikes in the entire series, if I remember correctly

@@moredeealt It’s most definitely the quills. The longer length accentuates the model’s head and evens out the proportions of his body overall. Arguably the best 3D Sonic model SEGA has designed in my opinion.

Man, roger does not fit sonic at all. Jason, Ryan and Martin Burke sound waaaaay better then Roger. Roger is a great actor, but he shouldn't be the voice of sonic. And in all honesty, he sounds waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better in other games then here. I think if the prime voice actor for sonic would be the main one, I would honestly be much happier with that.

Am I the only one who thinks this is Sonic's look at his finest? Everything from the animations, to the victory screen, For some reason the 06 model goes really well with the modern animations.
Project-06 did it better. Made him not look as sleepy-eyed as Retail 2006 and basically sort out the Bell's Palsy effect if you want to make a medical reference regarding Sonic's facial emotiveness; the Wave Ocean proof of concept cutscene comparison can show you how stifflipped Retail 06 Sonic looks against the redone version which is the same animation but the faces are more animated.
I think everyone can agree this is the best mod soley because it reverts back to Jason's voice and has aquatic base theme.

Ahhh if only Sonic 06 was good... Really is a shame because even to this day Sonic 06 just has this hidden lost potential radiating out of it. It could’ve been amazing like 95 score from meta critic amazing if the game was done right and not rushed. I personally can’t help but also feel that 06 actually is supposed to be Sonic Adventure 3 but after it’s horrific failure, SEGA / Sonic Team are definitely not going to admit that it was supposed to be Adventure 3 oh and on top of that, they’re too afraid to make a legit Adventure 3 because they know if they fuck up again like they did with 06, it WILL be the death of Sonic.
MrResistance , that makes sense because when they were going to make another Sonic Adventure 3 they remembered "Sonic 06" and decided to rename and reprogram it as Sonic Unleashed
MrResistance the thing is 06 that was released was the alpha build, the final version of the game wasn't finished but it also was not stable, so they had to release the alpha since it was the only build that was stable, you're literally playing an alpha build, that's why it's so unfinished

I’ve always LOVED the Sonic 06 models. They seemed a bit more mature and added a bit more realism to the characters! Also the longer circle thing on Sonics stomach looks way better than shorter/rounder one.
The moment I heard Jason’s voice on Sonic, this automatically became infinitely better than the original Sonic Forces

Unironically my favorite Sonic design ever. Replacing his mouth with one from a more recent model helps eliminate a lot of the emotionlessness the original version had, fixing one of its more major flaws

This is my MANIA worst what? The model or his shitty game? I grew up with the best sonic games like sa1, sa2,SH, and so on and he had long quills this new sonic doesn't look right he's annoying and isn't the same character he was in the late 90's early 00's

Yeah, Forces is more polished but at least 06 has more replay value, there are different routes to take and it's not a straight line

For whatever reason they try this multiple Sonic idea here's the perfect cast and roles: Mute = Classic Sonic, Ryan = Adventure/Heroes Sonic, Jason = Modern Sonic, Roger = Boom Sonic. Anyone agree?
I prefer Roger as Modern Sonic, though if we are talking about Unleashed Jason, then it's a toss up between the two.

Honestly I think they should make a Sonic game where it's kinda like adventure but with more playable characters and the option to customize them like in Odyssey or BotW.Like to were Sonic can be wearing full on outfits and be able to have a choice of VAs so if you wanted to have Ryan Drummond or Jason Griffith as Sonic's voice you could. (Only because I don't really like Roger Craig Smith as Sonic).I mean it sounds like a good idea but what do yall think.

That is very cool of Sonic 06 could be implement in Sonic Forces. The Sonic Voice Actor (Sonic Riders, 06-Unleashed one I think) should done better than the new one voice actor.

this is a really good example of how music, voice acting, and character models can really help make or break a game. these all feel natural but forces itself feels really bad.

I don't know why, but I feel like the model actually fits for some reason. This isn't because of the quality of the games (I personally enjoyed Forces) but for something reason, 06 Sonic fits in game a bit too much.
