  • The video shows a CHECK ENGINE light with a P0031 DTC on TOYOTA YARIS 2010 with 1NR-FE engine . And it shows the engine live data if the heater circuit of the sensor is OPEN. Replacing the air/fuel ratio (lamda) or wide band sensor, fix the problem.

    This video enlighten me more.
    After more research I realised that toyota A/F sensor have 2 types and the resistance varies .
    1. Resistance is 0.8 ohm to 1.4ohms
    2. Resistance is 1.8phms to 3.4 ohms .
    These sensors are not interchangeable.
    Thanks so much

      Its look like your Oxygen sensor 1 (the upstream sensor before the catalytic converter) is faulty..try to check the wiring first on that sensor , if its ok then replace the oxygen sensor 1..

    Good video but I have a problem. I have a code P2196 Oxygen (A/F) Sensor Signal Stuck Rich (Bank 1 Sensor 1) Do you think by replacing the sensor in the video will fix my problem. It’s same car Toyota Yaris 2009 Tr 1.33cc petrol. I’ve checked the wiring around the engine and it seems ok.?

    • @IbzJaay19
      @IbzJaay19 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      khaled guerfa I didn’t fix it I just kept clearing the code with a fault code reader. Will you tell me where you got the sensor from or send me link of the sensor because it need to fix it ASAP as it keeps on coming on.

    • @IbzJaay19
      @IbzJaay19 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      khaled guerfa also for the new code it says online that it’s the oxygen sensor but it might be the sensor trying to adjust to its reading with the ecu when the engine reaches optimum temperature. Why don’t you try to take it for a good run get it to optimum temperature and see if the light goes off by itself. If not clear it with a fault code reader and see if it comes back on
