@@Ihavpickle Byzantium is a continuation of Rome, so not totally different. Byzantium's just a little more greek and has changed from the Rome we know with Time, but their still pretty much Rome.

I was playing as tr count of samosata, made rum close to forming my own empire, the mongols show up destroy the powerful (30,000 troops) seljuk empire, then i have no choice but to submit to the khan, wait 60 years, then mongol empire is weak enough fight for independence. Strong mongols make games fun especially if you donbjust kill the Khan 3 times

I'm pleasantly surprised how the -Byzantine- Roman Empire lasted the whole run instead of typically collapsing under 100 years.

The Byzantium empire and the Roman empire are 2 different things
