I know the title is “best” vegan food but honestly there are soooo many amazing options here now! I barely scratched the surface 😍 also for the song I just want to clarify I didn’t make the beats, just the words! The original song is A Nifty Piece of Work by The New Fools 😘👌🏻
I would love to see more vegan content 😍 I have been to Japan once but only before going vegan so it's so helpful for hopefully planning a trip one day!
@@linz2414 She hasn't made an official video but has touched on her mental health and self confidence in quite a few of her last videos. Happy binging! 😊
Can I just say, I been a subscriber since the famous tiny apartment video, and girl you have grown soooo much, I love how confident you are, you're absolutely glowing and we're all here for it! Might I say the comedy in these vids is also an absolute gem. Go Emma!
I absolutely love the new way youve been editing and filming your videos. Still incredibly relatable, genuine, and approachable but now with like 90s flair? I love it. A++
Depending on whether you have a true allergy or an intolerance we may just invent a pill you can take one day (like lactose pills for lactose intolerance), so chin up!
I'm so excited to see this kind of content. I legit never wanted to go to Japan because I thought I would only get to eat french fries for two weeks straight, so thank you so much for posting this kind of stuff :)
I’m glad there’s so much available now! I haven’t tried so many vegan places cos there’s just too many 😂 I hope if you visit you can always find something great to eat!
One of the most valuable lessons I have learned about vegan food in japan over the years is..." Hummus doesn't bounce.", lol. This video was awesome, it's cool to see what's offered now and how much things are starting to change.
I totally can understand and relate the want of some specific and special food that one takes extra ways just to get it! I once drove 10 hours just to binge some food in the neighbouring country. Worth it.
YES thank you Emma, I really needed this, I'm gonna put all of these places on my bucket list for the next time I visit Japan. Never knew there were so many vegan places, and struggled quite a bit last time I was there
Gotta say, that outro you've had for a while is my fricking favorite. Watched Chris's vids for years and there was never anything cool or that could match the absolute SWAGGER. Chris: "wOt'S tHa', M8? I fIlm In 8k, I'lL 'aVe U kNoW!" Doesn't matter, man. Your outro game is weak sauce. Weak. Sauce. Got the swagger of Family Mart chicken wings.
Awesome stuff Emma. Your editing, presentation and performance are all great. It will be years before I myself will visit Japan again so I enjoy seeing you out having fun.
This is amazing! As a vegan I love this video so much, thanks for the recommendations! 😍 I had no idea there were sooo many vegan options available in Japan, was really surprised, especially because you said that this was only a super small percentage! So I'm happy to know I won't starve when I'll travel to Japan in the future. 🤣 Also, the songs were just the best! 💕
I found all of your channels such as chris sharla because I seen Milan first I was such in with my newborn first months and never watch these videos but got interested in japan. I love you show how it all work in Japanese restaurants because don't forget we wouldn't have place where you cook the food yourself. So interesting
In 2016 when I went to Tokyo as a vegan there was a place (sadly now closed) in Akasaka called Kobachi-ya and they had the BEST vegan miso soup. It was dark and flavorful and out of this world. The place was run by two very sweet ladies who were super accommodating when I wandered in late at night and ended up being the only customer. Wish it was still open as it would be the first place I’d run to when back in Tokyo again. (Not trying to shamelessly plug or anything but I’ve got a short clip of it in a vid of vegan restaurants in Tokyo on my channel)
Love this video! I watched it even though I had watched Mikan's same video before. Love the rap breaks as well. Your awkward quirkiness just speaks my kindred soul 😂😍💖 thank you for showing us some vegan stuff! I'm dairy free also and struggled when I visited Japan in 2019. Its exciting that the vegan scene is picking up pace! It will be awesome when I finally get to go back. Keep showing us all the places please! I would also love a general guide on what is dairy free or vegan in conbinis, supermarkets and common stores in Japan 💖💖💖
I’ve always lurked your channel but recently your videos have been so great. You’ve honestly been one of my favorite people to watch as of lately!! Thank you for the hours of entertainment lol Keep it up ^w^
That icecream on your head outro is inspired! I'm new to your channel but I'm loving it. Hope you make more vegan content (I largely checked your channel after seeing your great vegan hotel stay video on Tokyo creative).
Imagine having freinds that when you say "hey let's go out and do xyz". I'm 25, I have no idea what that even feels like. It's crazy. Ths pastery at the beginning looks like the best!!
A lot of it has to do with the place you are and the people you're around. As well as your own mentality of course. But Emma spent years building up the friendship network she has now, and moved to Japan. A lot of them she met through her line of work as well. They share that in common. Sometimes it takes moving around a bit, trying to meet different people than you're used to, and a bit of just being what you feel is YOU today, even if that changes tomorrow (then still be the you that you feel you are that day) to find the people who will stick by you. I only have 2 friends who have stuck by me through everything, and would likely say "yeah let's go try xyz", but of course we're separated by distance. So again, it just depends, it helps to move around a bit and meet different people than you're used to. I could easily move to the one friend and spend lots of time with her but it's not the kind of place where I'd be happy. The main thing to focus on is finding somewhere you're happy to live, and happy with being you, and the friends just sort of fall into place. Hope this helps any : ) good luck.
I gotta take the other side and say that a lot of people who seem like friends just kinda suck and never follow through on anything. It's not all about loving yourself, although that's great too.
Emma, your hair looks fabulous! And so is that new outfit! You are such a quality woman. I enjoyed all that great vegan food with you from South Australia x 🐨💕.
I'm also not vegan but adore trying vegan food so thank you for sharing these places. I'm a cook and I know how often we rely the meat's fats to do a lot of the work for flavouring so when I go and have amazing vegan or vegetarian food I can just taste the depth of the spices and seasons used to make them mouth watering. Also the best icecream I've ever had was a vegan salted caramel ice cream made with Dates so would love to try some of those vegan ice creams.
I am so grateful for this video, Emma! Thanks to the Happy Cow app we had no problem finding vegan food in Japan, but it's still nice to see what's new and which places you would recommend ♥ I loved the video. I danced along to your catchy tunes haha
I've been to T's Restaurant and loved it, we used the HappyCow app to find places to eat. All the vegan food we found was 10/10 amazing. I can't wait to come back and try the places in this video!!!
Oh wow, the new outro! Haven’t seen that yet.🤩😍 haha I swear with every video you are just reinforcing this new crush I’ve developed. Love the haircut and your style nowadays. Love the little songs🥰
You have an uncanny propensity for uploading videos when I've just come home from work, and your unique blend of wacky editing and lovely vibes is exactly what this tired old boy needs :3 Thank you Tokidoki Emma! Plus, it warms the loops of my heart to see you and Vina are friends. I watched that recent video she did about her mental health struggles. I'm just legitimately glad she has mates like you. EDIT: Emma, you *_have_* to release a chill-hop album featuring you $pittin' laid-back bar$. I'd buy it in a heartbeat. If you need to cut corners by putting intros and outros on the backburner for a while to produce said album, I completely understand ;p
I'm vegan and last time I was in Tokyo I went to wired bonbon so much! I also went to Good Town Doughnuts because of your reccomendation and loved that too. Thanks for sharing more vegan restaurants!
Will go visit that bakery tomorrow first thing! I live so close by too - how did I miss this?! now my friends need to do a vegan restaurant tour with me I guess. thank you, Emma! :))
I always visit Ain Soph and T's Restaurant when I'm in Tokyo and I went to Wired BonBon last time I was there too. Universal Bakes was already on my to-eat list for next time (Did you see those chocolate things they posted to Instagram the other day - wow!) and now I know I need to try the macadamia bread. I hadn't heard of Shiro Cafe though and it looks so good, I can't wait to be able to travel again! My recommendations would be Go Muffins Go (the muffins are amazing and the people running it are always so lovely) and Good Town Doughnuts. Obviously I also love T's TanTan and Brown Rice Cafe but I feel like everyone knows them already.
Emma I love your Furby with Legs... just saying LOL and it's good to see a bit of vegetarian foods. Because I have IBS and sometimes I get sick and vegetarian food kinds reset my digestive system so it's nice to know if there are vegetarian alternative instead of just eating rice. OMG you are filming at that Cosplay place at the end Yay!!!
Thanks for the recommendations! I'm vegetarian but travel with meat eaters so places like that yakiniku restaurant are perfect! Added it to my list for sure!

please keep scratching the surface in future videos! I'm not even vegan but I love food and this is a really interesting niche :)
Damn the transition between weeks is fire definitely should start a music career 🤩🤣
Hi, I just wanted to ask, why do you cover your mouth every time you eat something? Is it a custom in Japan or is it something else?
Could you make a list of the names of the places you ate at? It was all a bit quick. They all looked amazing though. Thanks

Hope all of us strugglers will be ready for a blazer one day.

Fairy floss is just so much cuter than cotton candy. :) Going to have to adopt that one. All of this food looks amazing, but the songs won the video.
