Me and my daughter will definitely be making this for her new teacher. Great idea. We love your videos and I'll let you know what teacher thinks of it...
andrea wheeler Thank you! I love to hear that you will be making this with your daughter! I love projects like this that I can do with my own daughters. I am excited to hear how her teacher likes the milk bath! It is one of my favorites! Thanks for your support!
I prefer Full cream milk powder myself and for my kids I use goats milk powder you should note the following. Note that the lavender type called lavendula Augustifolia is toxic for babies under / kids under 6yrs, breastfeeding and pregnant mums, elderly and sensitive skin people but the the other lavender is also great for eczema as Iv tried and tested this and seen a major improvement in 3 days by using morning and night
I made some lavender embeds and kept the fine dust that was leftover. So I put in a small baggie I had some of the yellow embeds little pieces too. Both the embeds fizzed great. I thought since I did not have the lavender buds I could layer both colors of the fizzy’s throw the milk mixture to go with the Lavender & Lemon Oils.
Is there a possibility you can post an ingredients list? I have crappy neighbors who nonstop play loud rap music on a speaker on their porch so I can't hear anything fast enough to write it down :|
You betcha! RECIPE: 1 cup powdered milk (not non fat if possible) 1/2 cup oat powder (ground oats) 2 Tbs.corn starch 1/4 cup baking soda 1/4 cup sea salt 10-15 drops lemon essential oil 15-20 drops lavender essential oil Thanks for watching! Good luck with your neighbors ;)
When I use baking soda in my bath milks it causes the plastic bottle that I use to collect air. Keep in mind that I let them sit out and dry for 2 days before packaging in plastic bottles. And when I open the bottles it sounds as if I am opening a 2 liter of pop. It has all that fizz built up in the bottle like it is ready to explode. Do you know why it does that? Do you think that moisture got into the bath mix as it was laying out to dry or do you think it wasn't dried all the way? Please let me know, thank you!
This is awesome. I'm going to make some for sure. do you need it to be fully dry before putting in glass jar? or is it ok to put in jar as soon as you make it. and one last question... how long does it keep for please? thank you so much. ☺
Just Danielle yes you can, just won't be adding the powder to the other stuff. I'd get the bath really hot first before you pour a cup or 2 or milk in because milk is cold from the fridge. it might cool down the water a little
I used evaporated milk and mixed it in with Epsom salt, cornstarch, baking soda, and essential oils in a recycled bottle. I hope it turns out good in the tub.
unimasaje Hi! Great suggestion! My son has eczema (NOT fun!) and I am constantly looking for natural ways to care for his skin. I will let you know when I figure something out for a body wash! In the meantime, this bath is AWESOME for eczema! The oats and milk create a soothing and calming bath and can be very healing. The lavender is also very balancing and a lovely way to treat eczema. Thank you for the suggestion!

non fat milk powdered had none of the beneficial properties. whole milk, coconut, or buttermilk powder is best.
Thanks love!

Good Morning. I have 1 last question. Have you put the Citrus acid in this recipe I would love to make this for my daughter in law birthday tomorrow.
YOU ROCK !!! How long does the milk bath last once its bottled or jarred?
Hi Emilie, as always another fun and fast DIY that is excellent. My question is...can I use epsom salt in place of the sea salt?
Absolutely! Happy crafting. xo 💕
How does it have to be stored (refrigerated)? And how long is the shelf life?
This is awesome.
I'm going to make some for sure.
do you need it to be fully dry before putting in glass jar?
or is it ok to put in jar as soon as you make it.
and one last question...
how long does it keep for please?
thank you so much. ☺
Thank you so much! I can't wait to try making this! Do I have to to have the corn starch in there?
Nope! You can simply substitute more baking soda for the cornstarch. Happy crafting! :)
Thank you!
CAN YOU MAKE A FACIL SCRUB
can u just use regular milk instead of milk powder?
Just Danielle yes you can, just won't be adding the powder to the other stuff. I'd get the bath really hot first before you pour a cup or 2 or milk in because milk is cold from the fridge. it might cool down the water a little
But why would you want to do that?
I used evaporated milk and mixed it in with Epsom salt, cornstarch, baking soda, and essential oils in a recycled bottle. I hope it turns out good in the tub.
How long it will last in the jar?
Nice! Can't wait to try this!
Hope you enjoy! It is one of my favorites!
Awesome, DIY's make me happy

Doing this

Yes! It smells amazing and is good for your skin. 💕
awesone
in other words...a total exfoliation
Expect your bath drain to make your bathroom smell like sour milk for a month. Just FYI...never again.
Did you use this recipe? I've never had that happen.
That horrible (stolen from Kelly Barlow) music is annoying and distracting. It's too loud.
