    If you put Eucalyptus & Mint or find a Camphor Oil you could make these for When you have a Cold or Sinus issues. Vicks used to make shower steamers and I loved them. But you can’t buy them anymore so this is an amazing Idea! Thank you so much for sharing 🤗💕🖤💕

      Fin Lumino you can make them with eucalyptus or peppermint essential oils. They really clear your sinuses when mixed with the steam from the shower.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for this tutorial!!! ;-)

    This is probably a weird question, but if you used these things a lot couldn't the cornstarch clog the pipes from the shower?

    • @kriscullis804
      @kriscullis804 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      No as the ratio to water to cornstarch thins out the mixture so it won’t clog your drain. Hope this helps 😀

    • @TheKonga88
      @TheKonga88 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It won't clog them if you put some moon juice down there. 😀😀🌕🌕🌙🌛🌜⛄⛄🌃😀

    Great idea. I've always been envious of bath bomb users and wished there were something similar for showers. Thanks for the tutorial. Could you please add a list of the ingredients to your comments? It would save having to stop and start to write it down. Also some comments regarding scent combinations for different purposes would be great - wake up, relax and that sort of thing. Last comment to make sure l've understood. These just get splashed with water, then sit in the corner and do their thing, right? Thank you so much.

    I totally LOVE these videos! I made steamers, bath bombs, bath salts, body wash, body butter, and body lotion in smaller sizes with liquids and salts in 2 oz. containers. I put each together (steamers for those who can't use a tub) in a white lunch bag as a gift for friends and family for Christmas. My kitchen smells incredible and I have a new appreciation for aromatherapy after weeks of making all of these! I think a few times I actually got a bit high! This stuff was so much fun! Why does everyone add citric acid early? If you add it after you add the liquid it’s not going to react because it’s in the baking soda

    Is citric acid mandatory? Im not interested in the fizz, just the aromatherapy factor. I'm wanting to make some for sinus issues and this is the easiest instructions I've found so far. Thanks.

      The citric acid helps pop the fragrance in the air.

      I made shower melts with Vick’s and without citric acid and you couldn’t smell anything at all, so I think citric acid is necessary.

    Have you ever tried using a pizza pan with the holes to allow both sides to dry at the same rime? As this would be my first attempt at making these I’m curious to know. Thanks for the easy and awesome tutorial!

    You don't have to use pure essential oils? Just skin safe oils since you mix with water anyway?

    These look amazing! Can you use essential oils in place of fragrance? Would you know how many drops for this recipe?

    • @miaj5118
      @miaj5118 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would only use essential oils

    • @ForbiddenRatCheese
      @ForbiddenRatCheese 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn't do more than 5 drops of essential oils. If you wait to add them until directly before you hop in the shower, the fragrance is stronger.

      June Hrycak just put it in the bottom of your shower, but away from the drain. You want it to melt slowly.

    • @DesertCloudSoapworks
      @DesertCloudSoapworks  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In the corner of the shower where it will get a misting. under direct water flow they will dissolve to quickly.

      You have to put them on top of a moon pie and put it near your left foot. 🌙🌙🎑🌕🌕🚿🚿🚿🚿🔝🔝🔝👠

      Christine Mott a moon cake press (mold) is a device that’s actually used in traditional Chinese baking for small cakes or pastries, among other things. I couldn’t find any way to attach a photo of one, you can make lovely bath bombs using these. Check on TH-cam for moon cake press bath bombs, there are loads! They come with various intricate patterns that you can change. Check them out, they can be quite beautiful.

    oh love :) seeing that essential oils can be slippery, if you lessen the amount you put into your mix (bath bombs) would that help at all, or it'll just be best to not have it at all, I am experimenting with castor oil, but am yet to try in the bath
