I really like that Stewart is asking you questions. Your answers provide information for us to learn. Would be most helpful if Stewart would tag the plant names ( on the video).

This video had a different feel and I'm glad you got to stop and 'smell the roses' The past few months have been full of hard work, outdoor work, cement, dirt, etc. This was fun to be a part of a casual walk through the garden center as you pick out plants. The 'Dusty Miller' remark from Stewart was hilarious. I would LOVE to see a picture of Kayla sitting at the bistro chairs sipping on a (well deserved) cold iced tea. Linda 'mothering' everyone - was sweet and priceless. ❤

I loved going with you to shop for flowers. You sure had a ‘big fan’ there to ‘teach’ you your flower names at the garden center. I had to laugh….he wanted to make sure you were helped. You both were good sports! I’m so excited to watch you work too. 🪴🌸🌞

Really? the nurseries are growing cannibis instead of flowers? 😯I find the fan flower plant scaveola to be my go to for sunny hot spots. I only use it for containers. Never heard of penta. Will be looking into it at my local nurseries. We are getting much needed rain in 7 a New York. I did see a monarch migration Stewart. In my backyard bc there were tall oak trees and there were butterflies on every leaf of every tree of every branch. They darkened the skies on arrival and were gone by morning. It was a miracle event to behold. I was 13 or so and never forgot it. Happened around dinner time. They were taking their rest on their way to South America in October. Can’t wait to see those boxes in your next show! You look terrific Linda! 🥰🤗

It's so difficult to restrain oneself when shopping for plants.
The other day, I went to a garden center for the express purpose of getting compost. I'm dividing rhubarb and want to add lots of compost.
I just had to look at their meager selection of plants (our avg last frost date is at least a few weeks away). I came home with a box of plants! I got most of them planted in their new containers. But I can't put them outside until Tuesday when it's safe.
Designing containers is my passion. Many plants will be swapped out as our temps rise.
Nemesia. Linda, that's a great low-maintenance annual that comes in lots of colors. I've got several 6-pks. in assorted colors I'll upsize until I can plant them in the ground.
    Happy planting!

Linda, if you find Proven Winner Vista supertunias, I’m sure they have something in your color palette that will stand up to your heat, wind and (bonus) no deadheading. The mini vista white is great!

....in NC they survive through the Winter as long as they are in a protected Sunny Warm Southern location and kept wet. Planted in ground or container. I trim back to only 6" to 10" inches in length in late October. Provide good feedings in early March.

🦋 Hey Stewart 👋 You're right about the Milkweed. Not only does it host all sorts of pollinators, but it is the ONLY plant that can host monarch caterpillars. A single caterpillar can munch a singular milkweed to the ground in no time, so it's recommended to plant in mass for the most positive impact since their populations are endangered. Although not in Linda's typical color pallet, it would compliment the yellow & purple perennials quite well. I promise, the show of monarchs will charm you as did the stunning hummingbird moths! 🥰 All the love 🌿 PS- I'm tempted to got meet you and Kayla for that iced tea and planting party! So fun- cannot wait to see!!!

Looking forward to the window box planting. Your 2nd choice Lantana is a much better choice with the white center, Linda. To my eye that darker yellow clashes with the brick. I know you don't normally do petunias. But most of the Proven Winner varieties are bred to withstand hot, dry direct sun. They were developed in Australia. These include BubleGum types, in lots of "your" colors. I believe the varieties are called vista. So any PW vista, if going to grow large in the HOT full sun low water exposure. Also white Gazania is a heat loving, long blooming annual.
