Epic. Just once though I’d love to see Swellchasers post a clip in real time. It’s clear slow motion is your favourite effect, and it’s true that it looks great on occasion or to recap an awesome ride. Used incessantly however it becomes frustrating, even irritating. I think you do a great job and I’m so wanting to remain a subscribing fan.
Great footage as always. Would love to see a few waves sequences sometime (maybe even a whole video) uncluttered by surfers though, to remind me of what it was like paddling out into the surf and having the waves all to myself. The real 'stars' are and always will be the waves IMHO.
Love surfing whatever you ride modesty, respect and share over 40years of surfing I've seen the sport just get crazy and wave pools mate the future looks good share the love with those who aren't or can't surf there missing out on the best therapy in the world
Awesome. I really appreciate your window in Ozzie life. I've never been there (yet). I'm in Taranaki, New Zealand. None of these swells seem to get across the Tasman? You get them all.
Wow, what a visional masterpiece! I enjoyed watching this a lot. That wave is a big sucker, I’ve never seen more water being sucked into the wave than here. Cruel @ 4:18 heavy free drop and free ride over the falls. Great taste in music fitting nicely into the images.
awsome camera work would like to see full wave including wipeout like how long it take for em to come up and escape the next waves etc i think one difficulty if everyone catching waves u need multiple cameras or if u focus 1 wave u miss the others but would like to see focuz on comeplte wave every surfing chanel jumps to next wave soona s someone falls off but the wave dont end there
Also, I appreciate your considerable efforts. I enjoy your eclectic musical taste, and thought you nailed it. I also find the slower motion magical, and I can take in so much. Ty!
Excellent wish I could see like this in Cornwall in the UK I am not a Surfer I am a photographer love to see the Surfing I have in Australia and Taiwan and Philippines and UK keep it up boys thanks for sharing it Troy @ troypointerphotography
5:38 what causes the wave to spit out backwards like that? I was down body surfing and body boarding at my beach today and a wave just spat backwards for some reason. Is it coz of the depth?
You mean that’s not how all the waves break down there ? Thought I could even grab some mates and make a trip down from Byron and have a dig on our softies !
I always watch the ocean stuff riding the heavy waves with heavy music like SoaD or Delta Parole or with relaxing music videos in background. If crazy like then always heavy tho
Wow we're up in the mid-north coast we were up in the mid-north coast and it was hot.....haaaaaaat!!!! It was what? it was what? it was...haaaaaaaaat....🤔🤔🤔
Had to quit surfing due to a rare malady known as "Spit-lash". Too many spit thrashings from deep barrels. Kudos to the demented Boogers, may they rest in pieces.
you got to be mental to surf this wave. Have 000 programmed in your phone if you decide to do so. I've watched it in person and have seen so much carnage, but also some amazing guts and skill of the guys with nads big enough to go it.
And how many spots are now rideable that wouldn’t otherwise be? And plenty of spots around the world that can be fine to paddle into up to a certain size and above that are impossible without skis? Have a look at the beginning part of the video when it was steeper and the body boarders were dealing with massive drops and that’s with the advantage of fins. Good luck paddling into that. The world isn’t so black and white - there are definite cons to skis but you can’t also ignore the pros.
If I wasn't in a country with insane lockdowns preventing me travelling to some of the best surf in the world that is exactly what I would be doing. Staying fit, staying positive and destressed is the best preventive medicine. Plus the ocean has healing qualities.
Respect to all the spongers paddling they held it down !!!
Well they don't have to stand up their feet so that makes it a bit easier.

Nice content. Good to see wave riders of both varieties. Gives good insight to how this wave rolls. Thank you
I never thought id say this but the eskies were charging! Well done lads.
Excellent video! Crazy break! Super (short) rides! FUN!
Excellent edit! Music spot on. Props to spongers that don't need a ski to get it on.
@Hippity Hoppity with flippers ;-p

When I'm at the beach I'll see a wave spit and say, "did you see that wave spit" This place is like every wave spits!

What a sucky monster this is! What's it called?
So, does anybody know where exactly this is on the mid north coast? Asking for a friend!!
Ha. I don’t know where it is but it 100% looks like mid SOUTH coast. The guy at the end was just messing around so as to not give it away.
Far far north. Tweed heads
It’s not the mid north coast - that was misdirection. It’s smack in the middle of the best little surf town of the South Coast of NSW.
Careful mate. You were driving on the wrong side of the road. 😊
Music is superb!
Absolutely big balls required, No, Absolutely madness . It breaks right on the shelf . One bad one could be your last wave forever.
