- The newest Timberjack skidder of the family gets its first repair. The rear rim was in pretty rough shape, but Scott patched it up and remounted the tire until a new rim can be found. Also was able to take the first drive in the new skidder and see how much work it needs before it can yard wood. Cleaning up the woodyard at the current job was also on the list this week, and watch as the Western Star log truck cleans up chip wood and Pine logs. Thanks for watching!

Looking forward to all the videos of you rebuilding that machine.
Good deal, Ill have a video out this coming week and we will service every oil and filter on the machine so we can at least go try it out in the woods
Thanks for update, have a great weekend.
Thanks, you too!
Good to see you're working in the woods nothing better than being out there . I'm now a little too old to be yarding or chopping but still do my own firewood about 6 cord a year . I'm seventysix but not down yet . You work hard Scott stay at it farming and logging i can tell you love what your doing . Few people today have jobs that they love you are one that's love of the labor feel forgenate. Stay safe my friend.
Gene good to hear from you again, your still doing just fine then if you can put up 6 cord! I appreciate the continued support, I just called and left you a voicemail feel free to call me back this weekend. Talk with you soon
Your my favorite channel, glad to see you back, I’m a fellow Mainer up in the county!
Awesome! Thank you!
there's always something to fix on a skidder, I need to get back to mine, I have to do the center pins in my 360. Glad to see you are back at it
thanks for watching!
Those old things will pull wood for days. Good luck!
Check with Nash equipment in new hampshere. Bug also check with Randy at Harold’s logging in Hamden.
Struck out with both.... Thats when you know its hard to get haha
Love the old timber jacks. I sold my skidder a couple months ago. Thought I was going to be able to buy all my log length. I'm kicking myself now can't get any wood bought.
Thats how it goes! Tree length firewood right now is hard to come by...
Cool thanks 😊
Andy Swenton or Randy Nason usually can find timberjack parts sometimes has them in stock
Great old workhorse, well worth fixing up I think, give her some new paint and she'll work even better lol. From what you're talking about doing in all the upcoming videos I think the channel will boom, just have to put the time in videoing and editing. That pine would look good on my sawmill! Cheers
Yes it should be a decent machine, whats the saying, "paint will make it what it aint" haha thanks for watching
Let Her Scream.....
Screaming Jack.... 😊
They don't like it any other way haha
The motor sounds good. Is that a 2 stroke? I hope it works out to be a good machine Scott. So happy to see the videos are back. I was waiting anxiously for your return. If I lived nearby I would gladly donate my Saturdays to help out. I wish you and the family all the best. It doesn't take a genius to see that you're good, hard working people. Lots of hugs and support from Steve and Louise in Ottawa, Canada. Keep up the good work. Do you have T shirts I can buy?
Steve and Louise thanks so much for the support! We appreciate you guys a lot! Yes thats one of the old Detroit 353 2 strokes. Still plenty around here making noise haha. We are currently getting our logo finished so we can get some T-shirts and sweatshirts up and going on here. As soon as theyre ready I will share info in a video. Thanks again
Any merchandise store yet?
I’d buy a forest green hoodie with the McCormick emblem on the chest pocket area, and a skidder on the back ??
Any “print on-demand” drop shipping website could do it.
Certainly not trying to be pushy but I’d be happy supporting the farm!!
Rob
Hey we are in the middle of getting that side of things rolling! I will post information in a video as soon as we have stuff available, thanks for support
J-K Equipment in Levant also..
Only ones I havent called, I will now though, thanks!
Nice video. A little TLC and you'll be in business
Yes, some TLC will go along way on that machine
Put a little air in it befour u pry the tire back on and u wont pinch the tube
That WS really chews outa there. Is it kinda rocky under the mud?
Its just got some good hard pan under it luckily or I would be pulling her out!
That a great skidder you have starts better then my 205 timberjack. Harold logging in Hamden Maine has a few parts also
Timberparts in Sussex New Brunswick they ship worldwide
Some start better than others thats for sure, Yes I use Harolds when I need parts, im pretty close to them so its convenient.
I’ll ask around for the rim I know a few guys in Plymouth that run the small rubber
Id appreciate it!
first one
Yes indeed! Thanks for watching
That doesn’t matter you can tube it we used to patch the sidewalls on the tires with conveyor belt rubber pieces, basketball or bigger, size holes cause my boss was too cheap rubbing to Penney’s together to try an get a buck outta it.won’t even get used ones what a shitshow 😂 I used to deal with
Love those screamin' Jimmy's!!
Scott, you call over to Nash equipment in Colebrook on a wheel? If anyone has one, it'll be them
I did, unfortunately they didnt have a single one left...
@@mccormickfamilyfarm5511 that's a bummer, I'll keep an eye out for one
I run 18.4 34 on the same 230d
Thats a beauty old machine. Your original videos were instrumental in the first few months of me owning my 230 e. Looking forward to seeing you get into it!
Glad to hear it! thanks for watching
The 8 bolt 30" rims are common, your 12 bolt center can be welded in. I've done that to a number of skidder rims that the studs were run loose and beat the holes out
