Breakdown - As most of you probably know, Bruce's movelist is 99% Muay Thai. When I posted a training video that included Bruce's #39 move "Anjaneya" people thought I was doing Eddie Gordo's movelist. But the Anjaneya kick isn't just some Capoeira ripoff. It looks like it was modeled after the roll spike in Sepak Takraw, a leg-based Thai version of volleyball. Bruce also has an obligatory back handspring, which I modified into a back whip because doing a back handspring in gloves wasn't working. The rest of his arsenal is straight Muay Thai, with some older Muay Boran moves thrown in, like that knee and elbow sandwich. You could run an aerobics class with this movelist.

I'd love to learn Muay thai but i read you can't do it if you're not physically fit and even then you may not be able to learn it. it's not like BJJ where anyone can learn it at all sizes. I wanna get into Muay Thai and Boxing as a way of getting and staying fit instead of going to a gym lifting weights only. Then again it's just what i read, no idea if it's true at all.
+cfjlkfsjf Don't listen to that. Humans can evolve. I couldn't do Muay Thai when I first started and I also couldn't do 20 push ups without a struggle. Now Muay Thai and martial arts are a part of my life and Don't get me started on how easy 20 push ups are. You can do what you put your mind to.

It was much easier going from my main style of Hapkido and transitioning to Muay Thai, versus going from Hapkido -> Kyokushin (Jin). The comments in both videos seem to reflect this.

My friend taught me the Muay Thai basics but due to circumstances like not having time and him moving away I have to learn from videos. Sadly the only Muay Thai martial arts school that I was able to find is too damn far from where I live including other martial arts that I want to learn as well which really SUCKS! Tony Jaa and Gina Carano (Lord Im in love her) is mostly my inspiration, Muay Thai is very pratical in a street fight and martial arts is actually good for asthmatics such as my self. I’m still a novice but I work with what I got especially no partner to practice with as well. Eric don’t stop being awesome dude and don’t let that cat get ya lol!👊🏻👍🏻😁

Muay Thai is an amazing sport and also good for defending yourself. I can strongly advise everyone to try it out when you get the Chance

Bro this is my favorite video of yours because I practice Muay Thai and Muay Boran with actual certified Muay Boran Masters. But my Muay Boran journey began back in 2007 after I got snuck in a street fight. The pain was so bad it infuriated me to the point where after I got hit from behind I sat up like the Undertaker and they all ran like cowards. I was already practicing different martial arts at the time but they were not serious about their combat structure or style. One day I was playing Tekken 5 after watching Ong Bak and of course one of my favorite characters was Bruce Irvin. I remembered when I was younger I had taken up kickboxing to defend myself against bullies and I learned it at a Muay Thai school. And at that point of my life I didn't have money to change to a Muay Thai school so after playing with Bruce Irvin in his Muay Boran outfit in Tekken 5 and watching Ong Bak so much I started to research Bruce Irvin history in Tekken, his personality and then I began to imitate Bruce Irvin's moveset starting from Tekken 2, then Tekken Tag Tournament 1, and then Tekken 5. Then I started studying Ong Bak and Tony Jaa and then eventually Muay Thai and Muay Boran videos till eventually years later I found a Small time Muay Boran school with the actual Muay Boran instructors who's learned in Thailand lol and I have Tekken's own Bruce Irvin to thank for that lol 😉 keep up the good work bro!
Oh BTW I fought that guy who snuck me a month after I learned Bruce's moves from Tekken Tag Tournament 1 and beat the shit outta him 😉

Actually I think the track is a remix track from the first Tekken game. I loved the old PSX games because the music in the games were all music tracks (instead of compressed in an .xa/.xaa data file) so you could pop the game discs in your cd player/discman and instantly have the game soundtrack to listen to.
