I like watching your reviews but I’m already sold on the Head Gravity Pro 2023…I bought two because of your review and I LOVE THEM!!! Thanks again. Your reviews mean something to me
I play tested cx200 too. Mine was 311 strung SW. Funny thing is that I preferred it stock and didn’t like it with lead at 320SW. It doesn’t feel light even with 311SW thought the air. I believe it’s the throat design. It’s very very stable with such low SW but i found latest blade v9 even more stable and even more powerful…. not by much in terms of power but to me blade still has the edge in ball heaviness. But CX200 has more power and spin definitely from previous gen. Feel is a mix of blade v7 and pro staff i would say….. it reminded me of modern Babolat’s in a way which are more soft/plush. My main issue with cx200 was a feeling of small sweet spot….. it doesn’t forgive at the edges of 3/9. On sweet spot hitting it’s a weapon but when i grab blade v9 16x19 it feels like going to a tweener compared to CX200. I am very curious next to try 400 tour and blade 100….. some say even a modded 100L blade is a hidden gem…..
To le the best thing with this racket is that they opened up the string pattern, it really looks like the tecnifibre iso 300 's stringbed. I love it. Easier on slices with the same space between every string, more Spin, still easy to hit flat. Remind me the speed mp to mut in a more manoeuvrable package. Love it. Play my best tennis since grahity pro (to heavy for me now).
Hi. Very nice review (as always). Probably the best tennis raquets reviewer (sure at the top 3). Recently bought the cx200 from previous gen (still coming to Uruguay), lets see how it plays. One question: if you have to choose, do you prefer this cx200 or the previous one? Salutes from Uruguay.
Just received my CX200 yesterday. I was quite surprised and pleased to see that it was slightly over spec in the balance department. It balanced at exactly 33cm with strings so 5mm more towards the head and the weight was spot on at 322. I also bought a leather grip and some tungsten anticipating it might be under spec. I guess I won''t be using the tungsten but maybe just the leather grip to bring the balance back towards the grip again. Would you touch it or leave it as is?
I played with the original Dunlop graphite racket when I was in my 30s. It was very flexible which I loved for the spin. I left the game in the 80's due to elbow problems, but now at 70, I'm trying to join the old, slow, fat, and weak league. Trying to figure out what racket to play with now has been mind boggling, so much contradictory information. I bought a Blade 100L 16x19....it's nice but it feels really stiff.
The CX is more stable and controlled than the Blade. The Blade is quicker and more spin-friendly. Then the Extreme Tour is a totally different racket. Way more spin/power, way less flat control and a different, less traditional feel.
I’m a ‘21 cx200 tour player. Love everything about it esp the feel (no dampener + gut hybrid). One of these days I’ll have to demo this new version. How do you like the ‘21 previous version?
is there an easy formula to how much weight at 12 adds to swingweight? like I've added 5 grams to my vcore95, curious how much that would have changed the swingweight but I don't have a way to measure it
Hi Luca, I've a Wilson Blade 100 v8, what are the differences between this Dunlop and my blade in terms of maneuverability, spin, power, control? Thanks in advance
How about power/spin/modernish control racquet of this vs. the Pure Strike 98 16x19? When discussing the group of modern control racquets, you include the percept and the blade but not the Pure Strike - why is that? Thanks!
If you were to match these rackets to the specs of the Gravity Pro, what would you prefer compared between Wilson blade v9 16/19 and 18/20, and head speed mp, cx200, and radical mp?
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver I agree with this, but my question is more so which would be more similar to the gravity pro once you weight the other rackets up to it
It's quite different. The Aero 98 has a much more firm feel and way more spin. This is much softer, more comfortable and way more classic in its control.
Off topic: i see you still rotating between court ff 3 and res 9. In the past you told me that your favourite from latest asics is court ff 3. Then res 9 and last speed 3s. Are court still your favourite ?
CX200 OS Hello guys I hope you can help me. I got the racket (2024 Dunlop Cx 200 OS)and it seemed OK and then I got strings put on it. Yonex 125. I noticed there is a very tiny sweet spot right in the middle if it doesn't hit that then the ball just kind of makes my hand hurt and the ball just pretty much dies. The guy that put the strings on supposedly put it smack right in the middle pressure of the recommended setting. my wrist has been hurting for two weeks now. I doubt the guy put the strings on incorrectly he is a veteran at this so what is going on? I know the Head Tis6 is not a pro racket but I've been playing with that one instead now because the sweet spot is pretty much all of the string area and I don't have to work that much for the ball to bounce and shoot off like a rocket and my wrist hurts less! Should I sell the Dunlop and try for another or is there a string set up that should be done for this racket? I really would hate to have to sell it and lose money. anyone else have this problem? And if I should try another racket please let me know which ones you guys recommend. I really love brackets that are 107 size head or bigger and that feel light like the Dunlop and tis6 but I need something powerful maybe a medium power. Thanx!
Honestly, if you're happy with your Ti.S6 then no other racket will really compare for you. You can try to get used to the CX200 OS but I think you should go back to the tried and true!
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver I noticed it's the Dunlop swing weight it's too much for my wrist so I need rackets with swing weights around 305 or 310 if they are going to be rackets that weigh about 310. Also the Dunlop doesn't have that great of a sweet spot 1/3 of the racket at the top just creates dead balls and shakes the racket. No matter what tension I put the strings at. Right now they are at 48 and it is still bad. Yeah the tis6 is good but I don't want a racket that stiff and with a beam that thick. I like to slice a lot and it tends to get in the way a lot at certain angles. Both rackets have the same swing weight but the TIS6 is such a light racket that you don't feel it for some reason. Probably has something to do with the balance
I love dunlop. I still carry my 2002 dunlop just case I lose 😅 I hit with blade and its good for now but eventually I want to go back to dunlop. I miss the feel and the forgiveness of the frame.
With how many TH-camrs talking about the racket recently, it's getting it's deserved hype now. I wouldn't say it's underrated anymore. Prince Phantom 93p on the otherhand...
I want to buy a new raquet with today's technology. The question is: Which is today's raquet (Dunlop or otherwise) that is the closer in control and feel to my old Dunlop Max200G ? Which one of these **so many CX 200 versions** is the best for a very light-weight player (but still used to the 366 grams of the strung Max 200G) who goes to the net often but also wants to feel the ball from the baseline?
Hi Luka, which one would you pick, Cx 200 vs blade v9 16x19 and 18x20 at same swingweight weight and balance? And stock, is it less spin than 16x19 blade, but more than 18x20 blade? And also launch angle
It's very similar in terms of spin to the Blade but because it's less quick feeling I would say it's slightly less. It is more than the 18x20 though and I would choose the CX200 to play with.
I was a HUGE Dunlop guy, dating back to the yellow-n-black HM200G. I stayed with Dunlop up until the original (chrome-paint-scheme) CX200T and the red&black one that followed…. Both gave me my worst case of tennis elbow ever. Took darn near a year to get over it. I have since been DUN with Dunlop. If they ever create a player spec that has a swingweight of about 327 or higher, I’ll give them another look. I no longer trust their sub-320sw frames.
And BTW, for anyone who might be wondering, I have several frames in my bag (okay don’t laugh, the name gives it away)… * Two Head IG Prestige Mids (I call the red phone in the bullpen and pull these out when all else fails 😂) * 2022 Head Speed Pro * 2022 Head Boom Pro * Two Prince EXO3 Tour 100s (18x20) * Prince Original O3 Tour (16x18) * Diadem Elevate (standard, 16x20) -> My current go-to racquet
Good review! Just one question left for me ….. why do you allways use those ugly blue overgrips? There is in fact not a single racket were these blue -ish grips look good on…..😂
Dunlop like Ford made the only rackets and (cars) they are the only brand that actually know how to make rackets-Babolat make strings, Wilson promotes, technifibre moan, Yonex make cats, head make ships
see, the reason you decided to not talk about them for a while makes me less prone to conside them... bc there must be reasons you didn't talk about them...
Did you ever do that review for the Cx200 Tour 18x20?
I like watching your reviews but I’m already sold on the Head Gravity Pro 2023…I bought two because of your review and I LOVE THEM!!! Thanks again. Your reviews mean something to me
Thank you very much, it's really nice to hear! Glad they're working out for you.
A lot of people say that the new blade has terrible spin but you say that this has good spin but the blade is better? Love the vids man keep it up!
I would still say the Blade has a little more (the Blade definitely isn't terrible spin). But it is close between these two.
I play tested cx200 too. Mine was 311 strung SW. Funny thing is that I preferred it stock and didn’t like it with lead at 320SW. It doesn’t feel light even with 311SW thought the air. I agree that it plays very well stock (if we consider stock in the 300 teens not the 300s).
so agree with you. modded Cx 400 is a hidden gem too
Just bought the CX200 and strung it with Solinco hyper-g round at 52-50. been my go to setup now!

Great review, longing gor the other Dunlop rackets
We'll definitely get some other reviews going.
Agree with everything you said based on my own demo. How does it compare with the new CX 400 Tour?
I haven't played with the 400s unfortunately.

dunlop cx200 vs. blade 98 16x19 vs. extreme tour auxetic:
key differences, and why are you choosing one over the other?
The CX is more stable and controlled than the Blade. The Blade is quicker and more spin-friendly. Then the Extreme Tour is a totally different racket. Way more spin/power, way less flat control and a different, less traditional feel.

I liked it a bit more than the CX200 but still found it a bit weird with the string bed.
@@RacketsRunnersVancouverdid you feel the same avout the 18x20 cx200 tour? String bed is too dense?
Please review the CX 400 Tour when you can! The last gen version was a hidden gem, in my opinion, and I've heard the new one is even better.
I don’t think we’re bringing it in 😭
Thanks for valuable information. In terms of feeling, could you compare to TF40?
The TF40 is much more raw and classic in its feel. This has way more of that modern, slightly mushy feel.
is there an easy formula to how much weight at 12 adds to swingweight? like I've added 5 grams to my vcore95, curious how much that would have changed the swingweight but I don't have a way to measure it
I'm sure there's a calculator for that somewhere but 5 grams at 12 is a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if it's added 20 points.
I heard that there are problems with the swingweight QC?
Major ones for reviewers, at least but apparently those are just their « demo batch ».
How much lead and where to bring it up to about 315-320 swingweight?
Hi Luca, I've a Wilson Blade 100 v8, what are the differences between this Dunlop and my blade in terms of maneuverability, spin, power, control? Thanks in advance
This will be more maneuverable and controlled but quite a bit less powerful, spin-friendly and user-friendly!
@@RacketsRunnersVancouverok I Guess I’ll stay with the Blade and consider passing to the v9
How about power/spin/modernish control racquet of this vs. the Pure Strike 98 16x19? When discussing the group of modern control racquets, you include the percept and the blade but not the Pure Strike - why is that? Thanks!
The Pure Strike doesn't have a constant beam (that's really the only reason why), but it's certainly also part of the group.
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver that's a good point, similar to the Radical which does also fall into this category but isn't a constant beam
Cx 400 tour review ?
I'm not sure we're bringing them in 🥲
🤦🏻♂️
Hey Luca
How does this racquet compare to the Wilson blade 16/ 19, are they similar
They are definitely similar rackets and I'll be talking about both of them in a video soon.
How does this racket compare with the prestige MP L 2022? I’m very curious to have your opinion 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
It's quite different. The MPL is more forgiving and requires quite a bit more customization for stability.
4:44 That's a ton of lead at 12!
It's only on one side of the frame so not actually as much as it looks like.
Oh, interesting l, I haven't tried that. Thanks
If you were to match these rackets to the specs of the Gravity Pro, what would you prefer compared between Wilson blade v9 16/19 and 18/20, and head speed mp, cx200, and radical mp?
That's a good question and perhaps worth a video but the Gravity Pro still takes it.
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver I agree with this, but my question is more so which would be more similar to the gravity pro once you weight the other rackets up to it
Hi, how much lead would be ideal at 3&9? 4 grams?
That's a good amount to start with, yes.
how do you compare it with the aero 98?
I would like to know this as well. I just recently switch the to PA98 but the CX200 has been peaking my interests as of lately.
It's quite different. The Aero 98 has a much more firm feel and way more spin. This is much softer, more comfortable and way more classic in its control.
Are you planning a review on CX 200 Tour ?
Yes, definitely!
I’d love to see your thoughts on the 16x19 and 18x20 comparison !
How does the power compare to the 2024 Speed MP? Thanks!
Less power than the Speed!
Would be great to get a review / comparison to the CX400 Tour
I don't think we're bringing it in unfortunately.
Off topic: i see you still rotating between court ff 3 and res 9. In the past you told me that your favourite from latest asics is court ff 3. Then res 9 and last speed 3s. Are court still your favourite ?
The Court FFs are still the "best" shoe IMO, but I really like the more natural feel of the Resy.
How much lead did you use and where?
About 8 inches at 3 & 9 X 4
