Hello from Germany! I am always fascinated by the size of the fields and the vast country. Thanks for the video, it's very interesting and informative! It also makes sense to apply the artificial fertilizer in the snow. So everything is washed into the ground with the snowmelt. The snow is also very important for the water table. The fertilizer then stays in the soil exactly where it is needed. Nothing grows without fertilization. So our food also gets nourishment to grow. Stay save and healthy! Greetings to your family!
Amazing to see fertilizer being spread on the snow, when we get snow in Ireland nothing happens on the land like that,we do not get snow too often, may be once every three or four years, good video
Looks like they've come a long ways in the last 15 yrs. That spreader is way nicer than the Lorals they used to run. Cultiva or Satlock 1st Gen GPS, Dickey John controllers, and plugged rear distribution boxes in the snow. Vern even has cameras now on his blender! Nice!

Fertilizing the field covered by snow is just mind-boggling. * thanks for the detailed and concise look at your farm fertilisation program. I have some experience with Superphosphate NPK granuals in market gardening of fruit and vegetables.
* the horses look strong, but, what is the saddle rash on Goldies back?
* any thought of growing Trout in a pool and clearing them old fish out of the dam?
Anyways.... We in Australia: well Sydney are cooling down from Summer to 6 degrees Celsius overnight. That's not to bad!
Well Kate always happy to see your episodes.
Take care and most of all "Have fun".

Hello from Montana!!! The horses are strong and healthy. Goldie has a small white mark on her withers and she got that from a local trainer. My mom was super upset and she had some big words for him!!! Our horses are our family and my mom gets really upset when she sees people being mean to any horse. That is why she rescues them too. Thank you so much for your kind words and great questions and information!!!

LOL!! Thank you so much for your great comment!
It has been a long time since we had such a winter in the Netherlands. 🥶
Thank you for your story!!! I hope this winter is not as cold!!
@@KatesAg The winters have been warm here in recent years
Look at all that snow. If it could be stored in a big hole, the water would help in the dry season.
Thank you for your comment!

Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement!!
I would have a coffee maker installed in the cab
LOL!!!!
Hi Kate, another great video! Quick question, does the application of a custom fertilizer, at this point, lock you into a specific crop for the upcoming season where it’s been applied? Please stay warm.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We are fertilizing our fields that we seeded last fall with winter wheat. This will help them grow this spring.
