I have an elementalist and I keep dying. I’m trying to get mastery points to get all the mounts, and I literally died 30 times trying to finish one quest. 😂
Check your gear. In open world, using berserker gear makes you a glass cannon, and you die pretty much immediately. I heavily recommend Celestial gear for open world (which is also very viable in WvW, and pugging fractals, strikes, etc)
As comments below have said, checking gear maybe your best bet. Stats like vitality and toughness help with survivability. Celestials maybe a great start point as it takes the guess work out of it

Cool build and video! But the dmg output increase you mention at 2:55 comes from auras, not from shouts. Shouts will grant might, while granting an aura give you the increased the damage. Just to point it out ^^!
Cool build!! I suggested to you one time the celestial tempest, how monstrous it was hahaha. I'm trying to make something to work with staff now, something that is not the tempest.
This looks dope! I still haven't ever spent time playing tempest (despite maining TWO eles) but this build looks like a lot of fun. I've been curious about tooling around with a water/earth/tempest build that's centered around aura sharing. I'm gonna tweak this build as a jumping off point when I work shop it!

Bro I only like to play the elementalist with the tempest spec, using the hammer or the sword with the dagger or the focus. For WvW what stats do you recommend? Marauder stats or Celestial? Thanksss🙌🏻
Clestials in anyway is great for elementalists to be sure. If you'd like more firepower then maruader definitely. Honestly I'd say a mix of grieving would be great to because you still put out alot of conditions
Greiving is super good, especially when you have good support around you. IMO its better than celestial as a default stat for ele's unless you are fighting champs or higher alone. You just destroy everything. Great vid CD.
This build does a pretty good job with champion mobs but can fall quickly. Celestials is obviously the premier solo build stat choice. Thanks for showing me grieving!
@@CaffeinatedDad Imagine a daredevil using greatsword/greataxe hitting like a truck in single target as well as deleting hordes of enemies in AOE. No utility simply DPS (maybe 1 stun break). Even if he has to weapon swap to something one handed. Also, as a veteran, what is you take on greataxes in gw2?
The new expansion Secrets of the Obscure let's you access Weaponmaster Training, which in turn allows all classes to use the Elite spec exclusive weapons on any spec of that class.

I had the same when i was using base necro, but! I was just completely using the class wrong😂

I did the staff catalyst to great effect. It was a condition oriented build too!

Gosh...it's such pain being back in the game but not having EoD or SotO. Basically it seems like no current builds are possible.

Not 100% on the numbers but I'd swap to air instead of Earth and then run FGS as an elite instead of rebound. Better overall damage

I did a completely different way with my Hammer tempest. I went with Air Arcane

Same here. Air for more precision and ferocity, and arcane for some boons and boon duration.

Dagger dagger is probably your best alternative tbh. The core weaponry doesn't have amazing power weapons but daggers do fairly well

my problem with ele is that they dnt have any fun weapons. staff is gutted and dagger is the only fun weapon
True staff is kinda weak. Hammer and sword are great but only matters if you have the expansions
