These older, mid-2000's Lexus GX 470's are excellent mid-size, truck-based SUV's to purchase, because they have the 4.7 L V8 engine, which produces 263 horsepower and they have the five-speed automatic transmission. They are reliable and they are great commuter vehicles (point A to point B). Thank you very much.
The crazy thing is that this is older, and most likely heavier than the X5, with only 5 more horsepower. It's still over two seconds quicker. Yet these things have a reputation for being some of the slowest luxury SUVs ever made...
It's not about the horsepower. The GX470 is a V8 and has almost 100 lb/ft more torque than the X5, while weighing the same. There was a more favorable slope, and no passenger in the run with the Lexus. I am sure that X5 would eventually get the GX at triple speeds.
@@DMCarReviews true, most larger SUVs run out of steam at higher rpms (and now that's starting to spread to smaller cars because of how poorly turbo-four cylinder engines are usually designed) so an endurance test between the two might lead to the GX coming out on top.
That guy in the mazda was probably wondering wtf you were doing changing into his lane more than once... speeding up to drive beside him😂 although I've noticed you drive like you're lost quite often
These are really nice SUVs. They were just under 50 grand new and now they are still around 15k but I’ve found a few around 8. I’ve been debating ona sequoia but I think I’m going to go with this as I don’t care about my kids having space and I want a nicer car.
Could you do a 3rd gen Lexus GS350 but the RWD version? All the other reviewers always test the AWD version. Preferably a 2007. Also a 2015 gs350 f sport rwd if you can.

@@KINGZZPVP_YTDepends on which 4 cylinder. Some are super good like the B48 and EA888.
@@DMCarReviews true.
The X5 will last no where near as long, be as trouble-free, nor retain its value in comparison.

I'd take the Lexus over the Toyota
Lexus IS500 please!!
They are hard to find, but if I do, I'll film it
Review the new rx 350 awd too

I'll try to find one
This does not come with Bluetooth….
I think it does. Has the option to connect the phone
It has Bluetooth for phone calls but not music streaming. 2007-2009 models came with an aux cable.
