Loved it. But the main driver, passive radiators, and the side panel could have been cleaned better.

Excellent restoration of the bass loudspeaker box. The only thing I would do is clean the solder contacts, then run the wires from the other side of the motherboard through those tiny holes and solder them directly to the PCB that way. I have done this a few times on toys made in China that had the wires soldered in the way you soldered them to at 23:59. Wires the way you soldered them are prone to breaking and bending. The way I soldered them, the wires were less than twice as prone to breaking and bending. As for painting, I would use a spray because it covers a larger area and has fewer streaks than painting with a roller or brush. The painted area with a spray is smoother. Otherwise, the restoration was wonderful. Kudos to you on this.

It wasn't a genuine Yamaha to begin with though, as evidenced by the logos not being accurate. 🙂

great restore, but should have put a flat ring over the pasive membranes, that way they would stay 100% flat to the box surface
Interesting dual passive radiator design - makes the box as small as possible while tuned very low at the expense of some efficiency and a steeper roll-off on the very bottom of the response - but the benefit is that it sounds a lot bigger than it is.
A similar design approach was used by Carver in making the True Subwoofer. Very small footprint, but it pumped out massive amounts of bass. An engineering marvel in it's time.

Hi @Mr.Electricity, nice work. What is that material you smear onto the surface after 11:03 ? Not everywhere, just so. Some kind of resin maybe ? (You burnish that later too with the whole surface). Is it for filling very small holes and uneven points maybe ?

From the old case, try to remove the paper with the label with a hairdryer, cut it out and stick it on the new case.

@@jr-dance2841 Si te refieres a las planas que no van conectadas a nada, Son Woofers pasivos, usan la presion del subwoofer para otorgar mas definicion al sonido, Es por ese motivo que la caja no tiene salida de aire.

What a wonderful work! 👏👍 But please notice that, some rust and the Yamaha logo need to paint. The new controller cap is nice, but i would like the original controller cap, Should be back on.

Igazán szép, és lenyűgöző munka.
Fa váz része kívülről szép meg minden, csak nem igazán tartós, (papám asztalos volt, sok bútort restaurált), elektronikai része is gányolás, jobb kialakítása is lehetett volna.
Kételyes az egész vagy szét fog hullani vagy az le fog füstölni.

Супер,моё любимое оформление для саба у меня тоже Саб с двумя пассивными излучателями на мой слух лучший бас от такого оформления.
интересно, ему хоть кто-нибудь сказал что резиновые кольца одеваются на пассивки, также как на голову, а не сверху накладываются). он ведь увидел в какойто момент, что так не должно быть))
Very good work. My only concern is not putting on a protective cage grill so the SUBWOOFERS Don't get accidently damaged. Professionally rebuilt well. Was that shellac over the black paint to coat? Cabinet is brand new looking. 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐✅🔊🔊🔊⚫⚫⚫⬛

tantas horas de trabajo para hacer cosas repetidas o que se pudo hacer en otro repaso... desmontas la parte electrica para luego remontarlo igual.. no echaste hidratador a los plasticos.. y la pintura pudo ser mejor tapizado..
