I find that most of the people happy with these are British. In the US you can't go more than a few miles without the local stations interfering on the bands. I'd guess we have more saturation of the airwaves than you guys do, otherwise you'd be getting frequent static and interruptions like we do.
My car has the Ipod connector in the armrest centre console, and I use the Bovee 1000 wireless music interface adapter which works perfectly with my old Android Samsung S7. The car is a 2008 XKR and I believe several model years after mine also had this Ipod connector fitted.
I have a similar one and it does the job. Mine has a bass boost button which does make it sound better an using it in the ashtray socket, i can use siri as it has a built in microphone
I tried this and found them pretty bad. I'm looking into the device that adds Carplay to the existing control screen and gives full functions without destroying the OEM look

I'm anxious to know how you feel about the sound quality, I'm not impressed with the clarity, I feel that you may want a better quality sound , I've been racking my brain trying to come up with a solution!
I know, for now I'm reasonably happy but I'll most likely investigate other options in the not so distant future, as I do like good quality sound and the original system fitted to the car still packs a decent punch.

This couldn’t upload at a more perfect time! So I Iive in Texas, USA and I own a 2010 jaguar XK. My car has the option of USB and iPod connector. However when I plug my phone into both, it doesn’t read it and only charges my phone. Do you know of any devices that would help in plugging it in and have the system read my phone so I can play Spotify or TH-cam? Thank you!
