@Life in a Nutshell *_ SAD NEWS - ALL of us viewers and followers are deeply saddened of this news of dear Patrick Childress, a kind Man, a great Sailor and a wonderful husband! (Sailing Brickhouse)may his soul rest in peace and our condolences to a very strong soulmate, Rebecca may you find comfort in his passing _*
Thank you. Brought back some good memories, we were there in 2018 in our trailer sailer. Launched at AIrlie, through Unsafe passage, 2 nights at Sth Molle, then on to Sawmill bay for a couple of nights before doing the rest of the main islands. Will definitely be back ASAP.
...... sure liked to poking around in the mangroves .. sure is a rich green .... where you bumped the tinny on the shore rock, sure did not expect you to say you had six meters under the keel Wendy, was thinking it would be shallow mud ..... great to see the two of you out seafaring again ..... never stop dreaming, just dream bigger ..... have fun be safe, save our oceans ......
Hi Sandra. So glad you enjoyed this episode. My intention was to make an episode which would hopefully provide a positive 'escape' in these difficult times. W.
Hi Joye. It is a beautiful place. So far my most favourite place in the Whitsundays. There is still so much to explore with 74 islands in the region! W.
It's beautiful down here in Tas but cold. I am usually in Airlie doing just what you both are at this time of year. Mr virus has put paid to that this year. Thanks for the relaxing trip, especially on my birthday 04/04. May see you up there sometime. 7 on 7 off sounds like the same as my brother in law out there in the mines. Thanks to you both, and catch a fish regards Steve.
Hi Steve. So glad you enjoyed this vlog. It was intended as a tranquil episode to hopefully provide some escape from what is going on in the world at the moment. W.
Cracking place in the world. We will come visit you once our border restrictions are lifted. Might need a debate on tenders over a couple of bevies. We’re quite interested in the porta-bote ala @freerangesailing. Something the snapping handbags won’t destroy during an epic fish run ;). But something we can pack down easy on passage.
I have used porta-botes in the past. They are great but we are setting up for a remote adventure and needed something more Landcruiserish. Definitely worth a discussion over some bevvies. Cheers
Wonderful splicing... I did the same back in my boating/sailing days in Oman (79 - 81), I was also an aerial rigger (telecoms) and found splicing useful.
woooowwww! what beaut scenery! 😊 im feeling really chilled now 😊 peanut 4 performed well 😊 take care both, explore well 😊 🍻🍻🇬🇧🇬🇧 btw did you catch many fish round the islands? or were they too chicken to bite?!
Am glad you two are using fish therapy for treating the contagion--it's the best medicine by far. BTW,,,What brand/model tinnie is Peanut 4? Seems like a really stable, well-built kit. Are you happy with it? Anything to change to make it perfect for you?

So he did succumb to it? Rest In Peace!
I could not have said this better. Sad loss to his family and loved ones.
Sad news indeed,RIP Patrick Childress.
oh no :( Such a shame and such a great man that only ever seemed to have nice things for those that worked for him.
This is very sad indeed...my condolences to Rebecca & family
We just got home after 6 months on our Catalina 380 to a whole load of yard work.
So good to watch you guys out and about.
GOOD STUFF..
Our mower just about wore itself out when we got home. The grass grows a lot in a year.
We can’t wait to head off again.
Didn’t see any prisoners being taken, Magnus. However the peacefulness of the morning was a fitting reward.

A trailer sailer is perfect up here. You can go anywhere.

Excellent Mates! Them Kapten Collars Are The Cat's Meow... LOL Thanks
What a beautiful place. I'm sure you explore there for a year easily. Thanks for taking us along.
That was so peaceful I’m laying in bed and I nodded off, I’ll have to watch again ❤️
Doing the same thing at least it takes us away from the troubled time's we are in.

@@LifeinaNutshell It was, it was wish we were there now, perfect time of year to be in FNQ and the Whitsundies...
May have been better to lay some pots instead of fishing.Very sad news about Patrick, a great guy .
Such beautiful varied shades of blue and green. My two favorite colors.

I ALWAYS Go fishing whenever I go sailing as is evident at the end of the day when I have To cook something other than fish.

Peanut 4 is a Quintrex 370 Dart. She was very unstable so we fitted a boat collar. She is now transformed into a very stable platform and unsinkable.
So is nutshell repaired now, Confused.com :-))
She is about 20% repaired. A long way to go yet.
Wonderful video.
