    Nicole and Simon, great video and thanks for the Scott lock on the Bowline. Great idea. Nicole when you are middle aged woman with grandchildren you will remember this trip with great fondness. I am sure your Dad has many years of great memories watching you grow up to a sweet and kind woman. Some bloke is going to get lucky to catch your hand. One of the hardest decisions in this life is to pick well. It can be a disaster for finances and the heart if you are not well matched. Wish you luck in academic pursuits. Simon, you and the Missus did a great job raising this girl to adulthood. Have really enjoyed seeing the two of you together. Simon, you are going to be missing her, that is for sure.

    Well bugger me, after years of sailing, no one's shown me the Scotts Lock in a bowline. I'll try it out next sailing trip.

    Nicole thank you for showing how to lock a Bowlin knot. Simon thank you for another wonderful sailing video. I wish other sailors would make sailing videos the equal of yours. Cheers Gray

    Brilliant sailing series during COVID 19 and great to see you're both safe. Enjoy that 18hr Bus trip, hope Nicole's phone is charged and she has a good supply of water and snacks. Take care and keep the videos flowing. Just shouted you a beer :-) oh, and just shouted Nicole a glass of wine.

    Bloody great trip with Nicole Simon she's done a marvelous job of keeping you on the straight and narrow LOL. Time to break out the Coleman single burner again for some Simon 1 pot Slap Ups.

      Ditto in our Jarcat6. I've bounced the idea off my other half and not met with too much resistance. Just need to be able to travel to Queensland from Victoria now!

    It's been great coming along with both of you on your adventure. A bit sad that you are jumping ship Nicole. I really hope that by the time I finish building my boat that my 2 daughters are not too busy with school work / uni / part time jobs / boyfriends to come on sailing trips and adventures with me. I better go do a bit of work on the boat instead of watching your videos. They are too adictive!

    Well I remember the last video and there was a lot of talk or comment about the snake Nicole saw, I was wondering what she thought about it ?

    • @simoncarteroz
      @simoncarteroz  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mark,
      It was a friendly snake.....but I did have the sense to zoom in and keep a safe distance. Appreciate everyone's concern. It's the snake you don't see you need to worry about.
      Safe sailing.
      Regards,
      Nicole

      Thanks Nicole, for your reply. Very glad it was a friendly snake. And when you said you Zoom in on it that now makes a lot of sense.
      Maybe we can get your mother out sailing. LOL

    It is simpler to do a havle hitch at the end of the bowline.

      I found that sometimes they still shake undone on the thicker diametre jib sheet rope and it really not as tricky as it looks.
