There is a difference between well-produced and overproduced though, wouldn’t you agree? Finn was a legend. Feldman is unbearably predictable and cookie cutter. The production on self titled specifically was like an instrument itself. The last couple of albums it was just too much in my opinion. I know I shouldn’t get my hopes up but I’m looking for that spark again!

I hope they're in studio with all 3 of them together for at least most of the albums creation. Their best music came when they all stuck around together for months just making music. Even though I like Neighborhoods and feel like its underrated they all admit that they aren't as happy with the album and the main issue was that they all recorded in their own studios just emailing music back and forth instead of working together more collaboratively.
When I was 15 I would have been wishing that this album would be super punk and edgy, but now that I'm 23 (and nobody likes me) I'm hoping for something more like the untitled album or neighborhoods. I don't think 72 year old Tom trying to do another Dude Ranch would work so well... give me some deuchey angels and airwaves stuff mixed with Mark's more commercially viable sensibilities and I think it'll turn out pretty great
It would be funny if Anthem part 3 wouldn't be about how kids have a sucky life, but how for adults it still sucks AND you have to deal with your kids that give you an attitude.
