Will this cause issues with the A/C switch staying on. My A/C switch stays on for a while, blinks 3 times then shuts off.
What’s the proper way in disconnecting and connecting auxillary battery terminal? Do O disconnect negative and then positive? And for reconnecting ots the opposite correct?
What other msgs pop up for this auxiliary battery?? And what's the function of this battery in w211?
Thank you for this video. Because of this information I convinced my husband to replace the auxiliary battery of my GLK350 and he did it with no problems. I do have questions though. When I test drove my GLK350 after replacing the auxiliary battery I did not notice my auto shutt off, when sitting at the traffic light, being back. When should I notice it? I usually turn it off but I would like for it to be back if ever I want this feature.
Hello Aquilina, the auto shut off will only be activated if certain conditions are met. The car's electronics determine if the shut off is feasible. This includes engine and transmission temperature, outside temperature and so on. There is an indicator in the cluster that turns green once the conditions are met. This is the ECO light.

Good video. My auxiliary battery also lasted 7 years and held only 0.7 V, impressive that it worked until that low level. I replaced with a slightly larger capacity non-OEM battery because my experience with the OEM main battery is bad - the first one was replaced under warranty after less than 3 years and the new one lasted just 3 years! So I installed a non-OEM battery of slightly larger capacity that so far has lasted longer (approx same price as OEM). My car is 220 diesel 4matic and the Stop-Start is always on - how did you switch off the Stop-Start?🕊
Drive in "S" not "E" and have a thicker wallet for petrol.
The hardest part in my experience : to put the trim back. It just wouldn’t fit back in, no matter how much wiggling 😖

One thing makes me wonder about the mind of German engineering. At time 5:46 you take out the cover. One side has set of nuts of one size and the other has bolts with hex head. Who is so stupid to design such a thing? I had to look around for the right tool and at the end used screwdriver to lose those bolts. How many people were wondering about this idiotic thing?
Car manufactures attempt to "annoy" people into taking the vehicle to the dealership. It's not secret, this has been happening for decades.
I have a question concerning my gear. It doesn’t auto select from D1 to D2, D2 etc…, it’s a GLK 350 4MATIC 013. What’s the possible cause?
If it isn’t in sport mode it almost never goes into D1, starts in D2. D1 only for quick acceleration. Not sure if that was the question.
I wounded if the auxiliary battery is in the same location on a 2014 GLK250?
No it isn't. For the diesel version it is on the driver side panel by the steering wheel. Very hidden.

I got mine from O'Reilly's $115.00 $10.00 core. Much better than stealership ($250.00?).
How much is the battery?
AutoZone in the US sells them for $130.
