OtterARTSz 7 my classmates even have the audacity to borrow my tech pens and return it to me... nib less.... hmmm on the bright side at least they returned it. Right? Or... better not hahahaha I bought at least 2, 0.1s and 0.3s. My 0.5 is immortal. Funny story about my 0.1 is that it fell on the floor, head first after i was done with my final plate. The timing was surreal. Hahaha
Fineliners were a requirement on my first year and I HATED when someone used it as a ball pen. I only did that when the fineliner got messed up or was running low and I even marked it to know that 😂
I bought Touch New (Just slightly bigger than Touch Fives) markers when I was in 2nd year college, but I still use most of them in my 5th year. These were really of big help in improving time efficiency and work quality. And one tip about the gray marker (credits to my visual techniques instructor), it can be a substitute for gray watercolor when putting shadows on your watercolor works. Time saver and has great results!!

DM Jaurello yeah mine as well, though I’ve had a .05 that lasted me for almost 2 years! The trick I guess is to just let it glide perpendicularly over the paper, applying just the right amount of pressure as to not let it skip lines. This is also a solid trick when inking over trace! If any mistakes arise, just grab an eraser and it should come right off easily. Use an erasing shield for accuracy, and a dab of alcohol on the eraser also helps. Weird that we had the same experience lol 😂😂 My classmate once asked to borrow a pen and I said "Yes" without even looking at which pen she took. Then later when I looked up, I saw her writing with my 0.05 micron and pressing it pretty hard because "it's too thin," she said. The nib broke. Orz

I'm not yet an architect but I'd like to up my pen and ink game with fineliners rather than the 5 peso panda pen.....and In the video you mentioned that it lasted a whole school year/maybe I misheard it....(too lazy to rewatch the video)
Fine liners lasted me a year usually, some lasted longer, i usually dont use it for shading, i use a sharpie for shading i just use fineliners of outlines:) I just got my alcohol markers last month:) So far none of them have dried up and i've been using them every day:)
Interesting how different schools have different experiences. I graduated from masters 3 years ago and had every triangle and french curve and never once took them out of the package. Never even heard of water pens and didn't do anything with water colors. Alcohol markers are good and some tricks to use to create similar effects. As for triangle scale still use one and I would recommend getting an aluminum one 17in long for 11x17 paper, never heard of the fan rulers. One tip is create an everyday carry kit about the size of medium mole skin that includes stuff you typically use and get used to it as you will carry it into the future practice.
I watched this year ago when I was still in the 11th grade and came back now cuz months from now MAGKOKOLEHIYO NA KO! Ps. Hi po kuya! I supposed to go in engineering school but a year ago I watched some of your videos which influenced me to take architecture instead... Hehehe SALAMAT ❤️
I'm also an incoming architect student here and I'm sooo nervous srsly I can't sleep, I kept on reviewing some lessons of my subjects and then I'm starting to draw already since I haven't drew like for 6 years. And this vid may just help me improve. Oh ghezz thank God I found your channel. I really don't know what to do. I'm confused and nervous. I am also pressured since I have to maintain my grade because of my scholarship 🤷♀️
Another great video with useful content for archi students! :) I almost have all these except for the adjustable triangle and fan scale and i think that's what I'll be buying for this coming semester thankyou brother!
thank you very much sir for this video. It gives me an idea on what are the important materials in the Architecture course. And I am a freshmen this upcoming class opening enrolled in BS Architecture. I am new to this course hopefully I will loved it. Thanks.
I think I'll go with architecture, you've been an inspiration for me and watching your vids became a daily routine, I enjoy watching your videos a lot! It's really helpful and funny (your corny and tito jokes, but it makes me laugh anyway lol) thank you, sir Llyan!!
For alcohol markers, I also recommend the ohuhu markers, they also sell on lazada and amazon depending where u live, they hv a brush and chisel and fine tip and chisel. I prefer the brush cuz who doesn’t like brush markers
Thank You So Much sir. I am a 1st year Architecture Student and I am glad this video will helped me. Can you make a video about surviving Architecture?
Friction pens are really cool until they disappear. Don't use this when taking down important things or signing documents. Used this for my structural exam before only to find out that it fades away. Good thing the test paper was checked already. Dang.ahhaha thank you sir Llyan, looking forward for your upcoming videos. Proud Arki apprentice here. :)
I started using the unipin fineliners last year (9th grade) and I was shook when u showed them. I use them for scribbles and outlines for outputs. 🤔🤷♀️😂
I also want to be an architect someday. I surely be thankful to you if that day will come. It's been a long journey though it's okay. Ps. Every time i watched your uploaded videos, it gave me confident to pursue 😂. God bless 💜
If you want to try out water based markers, try out Crayola Supertips, it's pretty easy to use + you can use it like watercolors by writing on something like a plastic folder and then use a brush or a water brush hahaha
Love your videos! ❤ Thank you for sharing your knowledge, it really helps me alot. Ahm can you make a video on how to make architectural layout/board? Hehe.

And this vid may just help me improve. Oh ghezz thank God I found your channel. I really don't know what to do. I'm confused and nervous. I am also pressured since I have to maintain my grade because of my scholarship 🤷♀️

For alcohol markers, I also recommend the ohuhu markers, they also sell on lazada and amazon depending where u live, they hv a brush and chisel and fine tip and chisel. I prefer the brush cuz who doesn’t like brush markers
Thanks po!!! 😍😍😍. Planning to buy touchfive.
That's awesome pal!:)
you really got me with the "everything changed when the fire nation attacked..." so funny yet so witty HAHAHAHAHAH

Haha those "magic" pens suck when using it to take down notes:)

If you want to try out water based markers, try out Crayola Supertips, it's pretty easy to use + you can use it like watercolors by writing on something like a plastic folder and then use a brush or a water brush hahaha
Thank you for the tip pal!! I will try to find some of those Supertips:)
