Hack number 5 is my favorite guys, it helped me save a lot of time when model making, that way i got more time to play video games!!
Llyan Austria can you just simply explain here how to do survey drawings of a street stall, please .. like is just like sketching or anything different
khirash k I usually just begin with the larger features, like i begin sketching the general layout and plan, and i make sure to sketch it really big. After that i add dimensions and details like material finishes, if there was any change in floor elevation. Then i proceed with the elevations and if i have time i do sections and i make sure to take a lot of photos and videos for reference just in case i missed something:)

I want to be an architect someday or a engineer i'm just 1st year highschool here in phil. But it kinda sucks because of k-12 and u still have senior highschool.
im a final yr arch student but i never really made a model.......oops may b for this thesis i will do....

Thank you for making these short videos. I have been including them in my high school Architecture class lessons. They are short enough to not loose the kids and entertaining enough to keep them engaged.
Great video and I never would have thought of some of those hacks. Those could have been really useful when I was in my 2nd-3rd yr of Architecture where a lot of our subjects required us to create different scale models but it's still great to know them now.
Maybe you can also post tips for defending a thesis as well. That would be really helpful. (especially for me right now haha)

Llyan Austria, I like this video on how to build scale models. I have a lot of experience on building them and I totally agree with you about the windows. I recently just finished one and it took about 5 months to build, it has 42 windows. The model is my profile picture as you could see. It also has electricity, real wooden sticks for the base and on the inside has a glass wooden floor. I never speak of them but since I watched your video I just thought of sharing it with you. Great job.

Llyan Austria, I was at Nördlingen last year, a small town in Bavaria, Germany. It is said to be the inspiration for SnK's town and wall architecture. And true enough, when we climbed up the walls, I can imagine Levi using his 3d maneuver gear in the air.

this is so helpful! thank you. can you please list what materials you use for your models? like the board and pvc sheet
For the main model i used Bristol Board, Illustration Board and PVC sheets for windows. For some of the material finishes i used Textured art paper for Stucco walls, Scotch brite and twigs for the trees and some crushed green foam for grass. My base is made of wood and styrofoam:)

Yup architecture takes 7 years:) 5 years for school and 2 more years for apprenticeship. All the instructors right now are pretty good, none of them are scary, not like in our time haha:)
