Hi troy, I'm a big fan! Can't wait for your upcoming Green Arrow Prewrite. Plus can you do a part 2 for DC characters that deserve there own animated series?
This was a really awesome interview. I’ve been really digging Minor Arcana and JSA, and I’m super excited to see how Lemire reinvents Flash for the new Absolute Universe in March.
I got familiar with Lemire through Animal Man. It's crazy how he both managed to write a run which got the best aspects of both Morrison's as well as Delano's runs, and he also wrote one of the best comics for the New 52
Recently i read Black Hammer and i gotta say it's probably the best comic book i've read this year alongside Ultimate Spider-Man. Jeff clearly loves old super heroes and i think he really fits for the JSA as a whole. Also looking foward to Absolute Flash who looks really good from what i've seen.
Hello there Owen. I stumbled upon this interview video of yours and I thought that it was absolutely amazing. I really can't wait for Absolute Flash to come out, just because I think Lemire is going to knock it out of the park and really bring back the love for Wally West.
Wonderful interview! I was really itching to find out the reason he went with Wally, and how legacy affects both Absolute Flash & JSA, so I had my questions answered too!
Anyone have any good Lemire recommendations? I’ve only read *Robin & Batman* and *Plutona,* and I wasn’t that big a fan of either of them, but since he seems well regarded I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt. I was thinking of checking out his run of Animal Man, and would like other recommendations, if anyone has any
Animal Man is great. In terms of Marvel/DC stuff, I really liked his Moon Knight. He's done a lot of great indie work too, everything from Sweet Tooth, Essex County and Descender were all very good.
@@OwenLikesComics Other than Robin and Batman, I really recommend his time on Justice League Dark. He's a writer who I need to get more into. Thanks for the recommendations.
I've always been interested in The Justice Society of America. Back in the 1970's those Solomon Grundy stories were always attracting my attention. Those Solomon Grundy origin stories. WOW!!!
It does in the context of "a fundamental aspect is taken away from the character, where does that lead the character and can they end up as much as their main counterpart" a. You can't really do that with Barry, and b. Lemire wanted to do a book with a teenage character, only makes sense to do that with Wally instead of Barry

Lemire is probably my favorite person working in the industry today. So awesome you got to sit down and chat with him!

Omg the green arrow guy
Didn’t expect to see your channel here! Are you anticipating Absolute Flash?
Oh I can't wait to see what Absolute Flash is about.
all we know for now is that it's a teenage Wally like the first flash
Owen’s breakdowns and analysis of comics has always been top notch- but can we talk about what a great interviewer bro is?!
I was first introduced to Lemire through Bloodshot Reborn for Valiant. Been a major fan ever since
Great Interview! I saw him at NYCC but haven't been keeping up with his work. Definitely going to add Minor Arcana and Absolute Flash to my pull list.

What a nice guy. (Nice guys...) Wally West is my Flash, too.

Owen's accent is just so fun to listen to
I can't wait for Absolute Flash! Hey, Owen would you be willing to make a video about Geoff Johns Green Lantern run?
Definitely interested in Absolute Flash. Wally was always my Flash growing up. I want to see the costume! :)

WOW!!!
I am glad you had fun with nycc
Awesome interviewer
This is big!
i thought this was a comicpop returns video lol
I'll take that as a big compliment, I love what Sal's doing with all his interviews!
Damn Sal from ComicPOP is gonna be so jealous lol 😆 😂 😅
We have like 10 different flash arleady do we need another.
not in my opinion
Bro...let the man talk...
Honestly i am pissed its not barry. Doesnt make any sense if you think about it. They use all the og's but not barry
That’s because the others are the one and onlys. 😂 and Barry is worse than Wally.
absolute flash is not the only one not using the og's, absolute green lantern will use jo mullein as the main character
