When it gets cold like that take a couple of buckets of warm water out and pour on that grounding rod. Mine get funny like that too in winter well we have more than u but u know. Also split your electric somewhere towards the house. Put a sodium light in plastic attach the hot wire to it so when u look out your kitchen window and see no light u know wire is down.
The cattle look good and the mud looks the same as it does here. Make sure to tell Wildman we appreciate his camera work. I actually just did a collab with HISEA as well. Definitely good stuff! Obviously they reach out to only the best TH-camrs. Lol! As always, great video! God bless - Everett
Nice content , looking forward to seeing the rest of the calves hit the ground . Did you end up keeping the feed trough jumping black heifer out of the Infamous 501 cow ? LoL a little wildness might run in her genes
The bottle calf was born on another farm and was abandoned by its mother. We would much prefer that the mothers raise them. If we have a cow or heifer abandon a calf, she’s culled. That’s a bad trait that we won’t tolerate. Glad to have you here!
Usually an infection that can start a variety of ways. An infected navel can do it and it can be much worse if the calf didn’t get a good dose of colostrum. It can be very hard to treat.

Yeah, I’ve been impressed with the Hisea quality at their price point.

We still have her for now. We probably won’t sell any calves until fall. We’ll take advantage of the cheap gains on grass before we sell
Why do you take calves away from Moms? I’m new to your channel. 💖🇺🇸

Any chance you can share what you’re spreading on top of the corn? I am starting to feed out my first steer now.
It is a high protein pelleted feed and soybean meal. Our coop makes the pellet, which I think is around 40% protein (similar to soybean meal)
What cause bottle calf get swollen joint. What treatment for one
