Arwa rice or atok chal(non par bolied rice). Makar sankranti ke baad for the whole we use to make different kinds of pitha in specially in west bengal,Assam,Bihar,jharkhand,Orissa with new rice.but if u r not getting that old arwa rice will also do.west bengal main winter main khajur ka jaggery bhi milta hain.west main khaju ke jaggery ke availability ke wajah se saare pithe we generally make with khajur(date) jaggery se banata hain.once consume khajur ka jaggery.10 times better than normal Jaggery
