What we Sierra Leoneans must keep in mind is, “not what our country can do for us,it’s what we can-do for our country.” When we learn to care for our country first instead of our pockets, then Sierra Leone will finally enjoy an authentic development.

He was indeed a tribalist. He Would attack any enclave in Freetown occupied by Mendes, like the bombing of Ginger Hall. He would attack numerous headquarter towns in the South east, Like Kailahun where none of the thugs he sent to abuse the people returned to Freetown. The Kailahun people burnt all lorries to the ground and dealt with the thugs accordingly. He also deported and vehemently harassed Fulas all over Sierra Leone. Siaka Stevens wrote the book on tribalism.
