Hi Ed, you were right, it was through that gate, I did it the other direction last year and came out there. As far as I'm aware if they say Public Way or Byway on the wooden sign you're ok. I use OS maps so there's no confusion. Also, one of the best ones in the lane district is called the old coach road and can be accessed off the road to Ullswater you went down. It brings you back over to Keswick. Off season midweek evenings and you have the place to yourself, highly recommended. Great video
That mount I see above your speedo would be really cool to whack another gopro ;) could have it wide angle looking at you, or maybe like 3x on the left or right perspective!

Yeah, I had a second gopro to mount in front of me, but I was sometimes too lazy to put it on... I should have done really xD
