Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Team Marie Curie are shortly setting off for the summit of Everest. Here is a video from their push up to Camp 3. www.everestchal...
Sad comments kevinleslieedge. I've never met the guy, and probably never will, so I cannot comment. But if you have had to sit and watch a close family member/friend dieing of cancer, you will appreciate the work of the Marie Curie nurses. So good luck to him.
kevinleslieedge - I'd love to hear of your experiences climbing Mt. Everest. I trekked to EBC at Christmas (totally unaided) and I respect anyone who makes it that far - never mind the ones who continue up the mountain. You seem to have it in for RF, what's he done to upset you? Living joke? That's probably what you hold in your hand every time you go to the toilet!
How can you call this man? Hes raised so much money for good causes (i have lost relatives to cancer so i should know!) Seeing his wife die and then deciding to help others, shows compation for others...When i served in the first Gulf War, saw the after effects of a childrens hospital which had been attacked by the Republican Guard, what did i do, train very hard, put a team together and did 180 miles of the Pennine Way, 80lb rucksack, in 12 days to raised money for a childrens charity!
Sir Ranulph is a legend, an inspiration.
