I've been subscribed to Greyhawk Grognard's (Joseph Bloch) youtube channel for a long time. I can vouch for him; he is a real authority on the lore of the World of Greyhawk and loathes WotC.
I ran a Greyhawk campaigne at uni from 1989 to 1992. I didn’t have many books, just the basics and the Greyhawk (2nd edition) box set. The main characters were a human wizard, human barbarian, and a half elf fighter/thief. My world only superficially resembled Greyhawk, but the maps got a lot of use. Many other characters came and went during the campaign, and at the end the wizard was a necromancer who was the guild master of the embalmer and gravediggers guild in Greyhawk city, who built an army of skeletons to fight IUZ’s army.
i miss the attempts at humanocentricism by classic D&D. worst thing that happened to D&D was Blizzard's Warcraft Franchise, where Races iniitally intended as nameless minions for the big bad, had to become human and relatable and especially heroic to make their stories fun to play because generic villains weren't fun. not that Warcraft was a bad idea. just that well, Warcraft came at a time that conveniently aligned with a culture trending towards monstrous PCs and the walking zoo. because of the other big fantasy work that was becoming popular again, Star Wars.
Thank you for the content, on a side note this is old news but, Now that Trump is back, I really want to know where the 15 million Biden voters were that voted in 2020 but not 2024, they seem to have dissapered. (Mind you, I'm glad they didn't show up.)

It may mean that Greyhawk fans can create content to sell on RPG sale sites like DMs Guild and Drivethr RPG. Mystara was also the setting that was published in the most languages. Mystara was the setting of 'Basic' D&D, Greyhawk was the default setting for AD&D (1st ed). Run a campaign to give the lands of Greyhawk male rulers again with Girdles of Masculinity/Femininity. >:)
Adding more women, along with a variety of characters, cultures, and races is great for new settings, but if they changed the classic Greyhawk, then it's not really Greyhawk is it? Just more woke nonsense as usual.
You know, I'd have MAYBE been okay with the Greyhawk changes had they made it in the future like 2nd edition and Living Greyhawk did. But the fact it's set in 576 means we canonically know the names of the rulers, as outlined in the "Gold Box". Changing it is clearly DEI garbage, since it's changing races/genders for no reason other than virtue signaling. I'm actually KINDA okay with them changing Caliphate/Paynim and the barbarian tribes to use their "actual" names, that's not a huge concern. The swapping though is. The counter-argument I bet you'll see is that Greyhawk was always meant to be a "take it and modify it" setting which is true, I guess, but still a bad counter.
I went and read a sample of the "author's" work on Amazon. Uninspired prose filled with lame, ham-fisted innuendo, all couched in the purposefully, needlessly, salacious. I don't know who the audience are, but they are broken people.

Yes, but in terms of both a novel, and an RPG, those basic traits like gender, relationships, and ethnicity (to say nothing of names) are usually importing in the contextualizing of the setting. Much better just to do so in a true (classical) liberal fashion, where you refuse to make it a big deal what their gender or race is for its own sake.

Funny thing about the Ravenloft book...basically they hired a female romance/chick porn writer. I guess that makes some weird sense...I never quite understood the appeal of Ravenloft anyway. Always seemed a bit g...to me. The cover for the new book is more pandering in the lgbtq pallet. Just awful.
