Yep, he changes from his chest voice to his throat voice. I suspect age has something to do with that. I remember when High N' Dry was released and we (my circle or musician friends), listened to it constantly and we all agreed that Joe would lose his singing voice within ten years because of the abnormally high strains he put on his chest voice. We were wrong, thank the gods! That said, take another listen to Let It Go... those "LET IT! LET IT! LET IT GO!" lines he belts out at the end don't exist any more, he is human after all but he has masterfully replaced them with the throat voice which is way less stressful and will do for the rest of his career!

It should be against the law for someone who CANT sing, to sing; esp. a Lep song. If one can sing - let them prove it, if they can't, they need to shut the hell up. Man, joe can be rough with his language sometimes, but he is such a class act, in his own personal charming way. Thought he was going to punch that guy out (he sounded soooo bad), the way he (Joe) looked at him.
Checked for available tickets for Indy's show (Noblesville IN) $150-200 for seat in the back! Lawn seats (lol) a few $50 tickets left. lol _I sure miss the 80's and looks like I'll have to miss this tour too._ And that's not counting some beer and maybe some grub, mercy me. Guess I need work 1-2 days OT if'n I want to rock out with DL, Styx & Whitesnake! *Keep Rock'n Y'all!*
