Congrads, Tom. I run emergency power with batterys for all radios in my shack and the 50 volt requirement made my decision to go for the 13.8 volt D version. I do love this radio ;-)
@@ND3N Tom, that for the response and series of helpful videos. I am one of so many you have helped. If they are both great I would tend toward the less expensive 10 model.

Good choice!
I’m thinking of purchasing one tonight…
HRO has them on Black Friday pricing…. Probably other retailers as well…
Woohoo! Santa is bringing me one of these for Christmas! My wife said to me - 'I know what YOU'RE going to be doing on Christmas Day!'. Yep.
You’ll have a lot of fun with that!
Congrad's Tom! I been running this since 2020 with no issues. I also think you missed another filter and the finals are different than the 101D.
I knew about the finals, but was trying to ignore the power difference…. That way I could present an “all else being equal scenario.” 73
@@ND3N I think you love the radio! I have tried a couple and always seem to go back to the 101mp. 73's
I’m thinking myself . . Is it worth the extra money. Thanks for explaining your thinking.
Both versions are great rigs…
