I followed this fellows advise and just fixed my stove. I'm even a mechanic and I didn't know what the heck was wrong, so this fine gentleman saved the day for me!
Hi Sean, Thank you for your comment and positive feedback. I'm happy to hear that this video helped you resolve your issue. Vito Casola - FIX IT Yourself.!!
Thanks for showing how these burners are constructed. I was able to remove the screws holding the diffuser rings, although it would not have been necessary. Removing the rings gave better visibility. I used gas welding torch tip cleaners to clean the burner orifice. Tip cleaners contain 20 or 30 small diameter stiff wires of graduated sizes. Tip cleaners are available on line or at welding supply stores for a few dollars.
Hi Kenneth, Thank you for your comment and for sharing additional information about the welding torch tip cleaners. I'm sure others will appreciate knowing. Vito Casola - FIX IT Yourself.!!
Hi Ruby, Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the comment and positive feedback. Glad to know the video helped you resolve your issue. Vito Casola - FIX IT Yourself.!!
Hi Theresa, Thanks for your comment. Well that's why I make these videos so I can give others the confidence not to throw things out that still have lot's of life left in them. This stove now works like a charm and we use it every time we need to cook something in the oven, because using gas saves us a lot on electricity charges, especially during peak hours, which it always is around dinner time. This stove will serve us well for many years to come. We love cooking with gas. Vito Casola - FIX IT Yourself.!!

Hi Parvesh, I had to drill out the broken screws and then I because I slightly damaged the burner heads in the process I had to replace the screws with ones that were slightly larger to ensure a good fit that would hold down the burner heads again. Did it happen to you as well? Seems common that these screws seize up and then snap when you force them. Good Luck with your repair. Vito Casola - FIX IT Yourself!!
@@FIX-IT-Yourself Yes- i lost one screw and so I didnt force the other one (!). I used oven cleaner to clean up- not a very good job on this.. As soon as I can get the correct drill bit, I will drill down into it and do a good job on this. I appreciate your response..
we have that exact model but the oven burner lights but won't stay lit more than a few minutes. Replaced the igniter and thermocouple assembly - same problem. Is there a way to check oven gas valve?
Hi Bar of Soap, Thank you for your comment. Sorry my problem was related to gas flow. It sounds like your problem is with the ignition coil. I only make videos of things that I need to fix so some day if I experience the problem where I'm not getting sparks at the burners then I would likely check and replace the ignition coil if necessary. Maybe someone else has had this problem and has made a video of this fix. Good Luck with your repair. Vito Casola - FIX IT Yourself!!
@@crystalkuntz7575 Hi Crystal, I only have a manual that I found online which is close to my gas stove but I too could not find the model number anywhere on my stove so I don't know if it is exactly the same unit, however it does look very much the same. I could email you the manual if I cannot find a way to attach it to this video. Vito Casola - FIX IT Yourself!!
Great video, my problem is (right most) burner will not light nor start clicking until I turn on the opposite burner (leftmost) on; then the (rightmost) burner will start clicking and light up what could the problem be? I welcome all suggestions. Thank You
Hi William, Thank you for your comment and positive feedback. Not sure what the issue is but you may wish to check your owner manual as there may be some troubleshooting tips in the back of the user manual. If you don't have a copy I managed to find a copy online that is pretty close to the same stove model I have so if you email me at vmcasola@gmail.com then I can send you the manual I have and you can have a look through it. @@Ash-qy5zb No I did'nt call the repairmen they did'nt know what the problem was we are just living with it. Do you replace the whole unit, or just live with it the burner works fine when lit.
I have the same stove & need to know how to take off the door to clean in between the glass and don’t know the model number… do you know how to do that?
Thanks for your comment. I actually cleaned this stove before installing it and I removed the door, removed all the screws that hold both the front and back side of the door in order to clean inside between the glass, exactly what you want to do. I'm just sorry I didn't record the process as I could now make a video of how to do precisely that. The next time it gets dirty enough that I need to clean it again I will be sure to make a video. Having said that I do recall it was kind of tricky to re-assemble so if you do decide you want to try to tackle this yourself I would strongly recomment taking pictures or video as you take it apart so you have something to reference when it comes time to re-assemble everything. Good Luck. Vito Casola - FIX IT Yourself!!
