I met him after a fight a few years back. Such a good guy. Was real nice and talked to a friend and i for a good 15 minutes. Its a complete act, he put asses in the seats. He worked hard to sell fights.

I am a recovering heroin addict/alcoholic and this is addict behavior. It’s apparent Jones doesn’t want to take ownership of his alcoholism. And deflects responsibility as well. Like when he tried to make his coach feel bad for not supporting him anymore. Jones has a lot of yes men and people who enable him. Jones really needs to look at himself and change. As in do a program where he is at least 30 days as a in patient if not more. Be secluded from the public eye and work on himself. These programs work but the person has to be Willing to change and be sober. It took me 6 rehabs but I got clean from heroin

I’m glad you made the decision to change but you’re 99% right. It takes the person to own their actions and to make the change themselves because they can finally see their own disgusting behavior. It’s up to them to change it.
Sometimes people need someone to bring it up and have a professional intervention and there isn’t anything wrong with that.
Mental health just needs to be taken a little more serious and sometimes I think people get lost in wanting to scrutinize fighters as if they weren’t mere mortals.

It might be that beating up your girlfriend in front of your daughter, is something that people can't forgive. I feel like the gym has turned a blind eye to Jon's crazy life, because he made mistakes that anyone could make in his position. But beating a woman, is a pre-meditated act of mental instability and evil, and it's really indefensible. The only time it would be defensible is in a situation of life or death self defense.
Nah dude self defense is enough. Of course jon didnt do it in self defense, im just saying in general self defense is more than enough reason to hit a woman(not beat her up but if some crazy woman hits you for no reason you can give her a good slap so she acts right), with very few exceptions.

Reminder: Jon hasn’t married his lady, mother of half a dozen kids and with his ego I think it’s so she can’t divorce him. If she leaves, she doesn’t get a dime and he can walk out on those kids pretty easily, compared to if there is a ring involved.

Thank you for calling this out. I’ve been really disappointed in the MMA community at large and their reaction this incident. I’ve even seen fighters speak almost jokingly about it. Domestic violence, especially having children involved and clearly aware of this situation, is a whole other issue than the “normal issues” that pop up.

Conversely Jon is willing to accept the "suspension" in the aftermath of Luis Peña getting cut from the UFC due to domestic violence because now it looks like Jon is finally getting some sort of punishment.

Training alone in a garage, and using your chin and determination as a weapon. Jon Jones does have Tony Ferguson level durability and cardio, and he could actually fight without any training. He could beat anyone in the world with his ridiculously strong chin. Jon has never been wobbled a single time from any punch. Not even a full power punch on the chin from Machida. Or dozens of full power punches from 6'5" Gustafson, had any effect whatsoever on Jon. I actually think there's a chance that Jon's chin holds up against Ngannou. Kind of like how Daniel Cormier went flying across the cage when Anthony Johnson punched his temple, but it never knocked him out. Cormier had a ridiculous chin in his prime too. Jon might recieve a broken orbital and a knockdown, and a broken nose, split lip.. But Ngannou won't be able to put him away. Jon might have a legit demon inside him, like Ferguson used to have.
