I filmed with this too, it has me shook forreal. This is the first mega palette that I’ve actually felt like every shade is unique and has its place (unlike morphe big palettes which could easily be 16 pan shadows and do the same thing)

I am loving the technique where you are drawing the line from under the bottom lashes and up into your crease. The looks you did with this palette are lovely, very day-to-day wearable. I have hooded eyes and am always looking for new ways to approach eyeshadow.

Love how they all came together. You killed it as usual. Some people I have seen reviewing it said it was blotchy especially some of the mattes. Happy it isn't in your face colors. This will look stunning for fall looks. Yah!!
Thank you so much!🤗💕 I have to say the mattes aren't super pigmented but that's what I like about them. Even that dark green sheers out nicely on my lids and you can always add more if you want it to be darker/more pigmented.

Layers and layers of foundation and concealer, baking, false lashes, etc. Most of us could never pull that off because we don't have ring lights following us around everywhere we go. I feel the same way! I used to be very good with makeup when I was younger but after I turned 40 my eyes started to get more hooded and I have to completely rethink the way I do my eyeshadow. It's been a challenge but I'm having fun with it! 🤗💕

Love your looks. I have a similar eye shape and use your inner upper rim with a flick at the corner technique. So, THANKS for that. I have so much that I just can’t buy anymore but this pallet speaks to me. I will try to recreate these looks with the shades I already have. I love that this pallet is not too bright. Most women do not want to walk around looking like a clown. I have been SO turned off by these crayon colored shadow pallets that are coming out right now. Unless you are in a creative field, you can’t walk around looking that kooky and me taken seriously.
Great video! Thanks for showing the pic of your pallet compared to the Instagram pic of the pallet. Very helpful to see a realistic pic of the shades. It is also helpful to know that the shades are more wearable and not so bright (for those of us who want to be able to wear the shades to work AND the weekend!). Great job!!
It is very useful that you swatch the shades at the side! I really liked all the combinations because they are very wearable but still colorful. I tend to struggle not to go too crazy while using bolder colors, so this was great! I will definitely try those combinations....I love the palette but I don't have it and most probably won't be getting it because tbh, I definitely have most of the shades in other palettes and am overwhelmed with all the makeup I have. So I will use the inspiration using my collection 😘

I like soft everyday wearable looks! I’m probably not going to get that palette. I don’t like giltter shades. I know there are only 3. I think I’m set on colorful palettes. Love that you create more approachable looks. They're not quite as overwhelming or intimidating to me. I'm not a makeup artist and sometimes the bright bold looks are scary 😂
I wasn’t interested based on swatches. Then I saw Allie Glines use it and I decided to order it. Now seeing you use it, I can’t wait to get it! I think the colors are nice for us who want a little but not anything over the top.

Your videos are always great! I LOVE comparisons because ColourPop does way too much recycling, for me. I have Perception, Good Sport, and Just My Luck. Although I have buyers remorse with Just My Luck, I love Good Sport.

I need to try your new technique 🙂. That green look was amazing on your eyes! Do you have a recommendation on a good transition mid-tone neutral brown and a deeper outer corner brown (maybe from a single, duo or quad) that can be used when palettes have a lot of shimmers and not a lot of neutrals? Something easy to grab than finding another large palette to find some neutrals to use with palettes that have a lot of shimmers or colors.
Hmm that's a great question! I actually don't but now that I know I need to use lighter colors, I'll have to seek one out to keep on hand. I know Zabrena really likes a Wet n Wild single that seems like a perfect transition shade. I can't remember the name of it but it's very affordable and she constantly uses it in her videos when she needs a transition.
A few Colourpop suggestions (all available as singles): Virgo: "matte dark chocolate brown"; Feathered: "matte rich chocolate brown"; Cloud Nine: "matte plummy brown"; Bel Air: "matte cool taupe"; Wakeup Call: "matte warm sand"; Taurus: "matte camel brown". The very first shade I thought of was Virgo (it's in the Kathleen Lights Zodiac palette). I find it is very versatile and buildable, which is probably why Kathleen included it in the So Jaded palette under another name. Taurus is a neutral but on the warm side. I personally bought the Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes specifically to be the right transition and crease shades I can never find elsewhere. The formula of those shades is phenomenal.
I like the idea of wearable looks for work or casual wear but in color. I do agree 100 percent that one persons wearable is not the same for someone else. So, yes, I am the opposite and I love my colorful eye shadow. The brighter the better. lol. So I use this palette very differently. However, its nice to see a different take on it :)
So glad to see your video on this since you're closer to my skintone. I thought the exact same thing about the SS color! Amanda from Makeup.just.for.fun said she had a pressed SS shadow from a previous palette from awhile back and it's still good. Maybe the formula is a bit different so it lasts longer without issues. Guess we'll see lol. If it dries out I'll pop it out and stick a new pressed shadow in its place like I plan to do for the 2 glitter colors. Maybe you can apply the shimmer colors with a little Fix + on the brush to amp them up? Loved seeing the different looks and I'll have to use your tip on starting under the lashes and making a guide mark 👍
I purchased this palette, and I think it’s very pretty. I can’t wait to really try it out, and this video gives me some great ideas. Thank you! One really strange thing, my palette came with a light beige color where the alexandrite shade should be. The palette looked a little funny to me because the shade is pretty much the same as royal jewels, but I didn’t realize what was wrong until I watched your video. I’ve emailed customer service, but I’ve never had an issue like this with Colourpop. I’m hoping I can get the correct palette soon!
Great video...seen ur first 3 looks n paused to order this palette...but its out of stock 😕😕😕😕😕...can't wait to get it...also now going to try the tip starting with the outer corner first...still struggling a little with trying to make my lid bigger with concealer..but getting better lol..
I love those trios-and the idea to show them swatched. An idea for your Instagram: Photos of trios and quads swatched (even when you don't have a photo of it on the eye). This could work for any palette you have. I know it would help your followers immensely because even when it's not a palette this big, it's hard to see all the multitude of combos. Temptalia will show ten quad suggestions on her blog for some palettes, but never swatched all together, just compiling color stories from the individuals. Which reminds me: Anyone can post color stories on Temptalia. The swatches are already on the site and you can mix palettes and brands.

I also didn’t like the villains palette 🥺 I’m going to definitely try starting by putting my shadows on the lower part of my eye!!! That’s a great technique!! I always struggle with drawing the shadow to far up and out! So many different wearable looks! Thank you so much for this! I love it! I looove the green look!! I wasn’t planning on purchasing tia palette but now I’m giving it a second look!!!
I saw Wayne Goss do that technique for hooded eyes a long time ago and I forgot about it. Then just recently I started doing it again for some reason and today I remembered that he's the person who taught me that. It works really well for me! 👍

Love the OTD eye looks! Definitely appreciate the comparisons. 👏🏼 Such A WASTE with the pressed glitter shades that ARE NOT SAFE for the eye. Please companies, give us an extra transition shade instead 🙃

Your looks are always so pretty and ones I can see myself wearing. These days I can't really look to TH-camrs to get inspiration because they've gotten more and more "unwearable" for me (for lack of a better word).
I had to subscribe when I saw you teaching actual wearable looks (at least for me). Wish more youtubers did that. Glam is fun but looks a little weird when I’m just going to work. Lol
I have several comments, Jen: first of all your videos are getting more efficient by showing the application technique once because you're not doing anything different in the other two looks. The B roll on the two last looks and the swatches shown on the right corner insert are AWESOME because it shows the exact "trio" that's not as easy to picture seeing the whole palette. Most importantly, you look WAY BETTER with colorful looks, maybe you're not used to it and think it's too much because you're fair, but I'm telling you they really flatter you and I'd like to see you wearing more color. Neutrals tend to look always the same, while colors add more variety and pop to your eyes. As a suggestion, maybe bring the lid color further up a little and apply the crease color a little more elevated to "tailor" your crease, this creates the illusion of a bigger lid. Congrats on your improved editing ♥ p.s. I don't know if you'll remember this from an old comment of mine, but I'm still waiting for a deer casually passing by your beautiful background 😂😂
I feel like Colourpop is always changing the lighting they shoot their products in to make the palettes more exciting and colors more saturated looking. Also not a fan of them repeatedly putting the pressed glitters in most of the new launches. I love glitter but these are not eye safe so they can cut your eye. It's not like how pressed pigments are not eye safe because pigments stain it's a you can cause permanent damage problem.

I wasn't planning on purchasing bc it did look to bright but tour swatches prove that wrong. Also can't wait to borrow your trick starting at the bottom, I have the same eye shape as you ( cant think of what it's called- fibromyalgia fog is string tonight) but that is genius!!! I need to try your new technique 🙂. That green look was amazing on your eyes! Do you have a recommendation on a good transition mid-tone neutral brown and a deeper outer corner brown (maybe from a single, duo or quad) that can be used when palettes have a lot of shimmers and not a lot of neutrals? Something easy to grab than finding another large palette to find some neutrals to use with palettes that have a lot of shimmers or colors.
Hmm that's a great question! I actually don't but now that I know I need to use lighter colors, I'll have to seek one out to keep on hand. I know Zabrena really likes a Wet n Wild single that seems like a perfect transition shade. I can't remember the name of it but it's very affordable and she constantly uses it in her videos when she needs a transition.
A few Colourpop suggestions (all available as singles):
Virgo: "matte dark chocolate brown";
Feathered: "matte rich chocolate brown";
Cloud Nine: "matte plummy brown";
Bel Air: "matte cool taupe";
Wakeup Call: "matte warm sand";
Taurus: "matte camel brown".
The very first shade I thought of was Virgo (it's in the Kathleen Lights Zodiac palette). I find it is very versatile and buildable, which is probably why Kathleen included it in the So Jaded palette under another name. Taurus is a neutral but on the warm side.
I personally bought the Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes specifically to be the right transition and crease shades I can never find elsewhere. The formula of those shades is phenomenal.

I like the idea of wearable looks for work or casual wear but in color. I do agree 100 percent that one persons wearable is not the same for someone else. So, yes, I am the opposite and I love my colorful eye shadow. The brighter the better. lol. So I use this palette very differently. However, its nice to see a different take on it :)
So glad to see your video on this since you're closer to my skintone. I thought the exact same thing about the SS color! Amanda from Makeup.just.for.fun said she had a pressed SS shadow from a previous palette from awhile back and it's still good. Maybe the formula is a bit different so it lasts longer without issues. Guess we'll see lol. If it dries out I'll pop it out and stick a new pressed shadow in its place like I plan to do for the 2 glitter colors. Maybe you can apply the shimmer colors with a little Fix + on the brush to amp them up? Loved seeing the different looks and I'll have to use your tip on starting under the lashes and making a guide mark 👍
I purchased this palette, and I think it’s very pretty. I can’t wait to really try it out, and this video gives me some great ideas. Thank you! One really strange thing, my palette came with a light beige color where the alexandrite shade should be. The palette looked a little funny to me because the shade is pretty much the same as royal jewels, but I didn’t realize what was wrong until I watched your video. I’ve emailed customer service, but I’ve never had an issue like this with Colourpop. I’m hoping I can get the correct palette soon!

Ametrine is a quartz that has purple and yellow in the same stone. Amethyst and citrine. So AM ih treen.
Great video...seen ur first 3 looks n paused to order this palette...but its out of stock 😕😕😕😕😕...can't wait to get it...also now going to try the tip starting with the outer corner first...still struggling a little with trying to make my lid bigger with concealer..but getting better lol..
I love those trios-and the idea to show them swatched. An idea for your Instagram: Photos of trios and quads swatched (even when you don't have a photo of it on the eye). This could work for any palette you have. I know it would help your followers immensely because even when it's not a palette this big, it's hard to see all the multitude of combos.
Temptalia will show ten quad suggestions on her blog for some palettes, but never swatched all together, just compiling color stories from the individuals. Which reminds me: Anyone can post color stories on Temptalia. The swatches are already on the site and you can mix palettes and brands.

I’m going to definitely try starting by putting my shadows on the lower part of my eye!!! That’s a great technique!! I always struggle with drawing the shadow to far up and out! So many different wearable looks! Thank you so much for this! I love it! I looove the green look!! I wasn’t planning on purchasing tia palette but now I’m giving it a second look!!!
I saw Wayne Goss do that technique for hooded eyes a long time ago and I forgot about it. Then just recently I started doing it again for some reason and today I remembered that he's the person who taught me that. It works really well for me! 👍

Your looks are always so pretty and ones I can see myself wearing. These days I can't really look to TH-camrs to get inspiration because they've gotten more and more "unwearable" for me (for lack of a better word).

I had to subscribe when I saw you teaching actual wearable looks (at least for me). Wish more youtubers did that. Glam is fun but looks a little weird when I’m just going to work. Lol
I prefer a lighter look when I go to work. Plus who has that kind of time in the morning.

I have several comments, Jen: first of all your videos are getting more efficient by showing the application technique once because you're not doing anything different in the other two looks. The B roll on the two last looks and the swatches shown on the right corner insert are AWESOME because it shows the exact "trio" that's not as easy to picture seeing the whole palette. Most importantly, you look WAY BETTER with colorful looks, maybe you're not used to it and think it's too much because you're fair, but I'm telling you they really flatter you and I'd like to see you wearing more color. Neutrals tend to look always the same, while colors add more variety and pop to your eyes. As a suggestion, maybe bring the lid color further up a little and apply the crease color a little more elevated to "tailor" your crease, this creates the illusion of a bigger lid. Congrats on your improved editing ♥ p.s. I don't know if you'll remember this from an old comment of mine, but I'm still waiting for a deer casually passing by your beautiful background 😂😂
I feel like Colourpop is always changing the lighting they shoot their products in to make the palettes more exciting and colors more saturated looking. Also not a fan of them repeatedly putting the pressed glitters in most of the new launches. I love glitter but these are not eye safe so they can cut your eye. It's not like how pressed pigments are not eye safe because pigments stain it's a you can cause permanent damage problem.
