The M.A.D. Mobile toy (as well as this first-generation toy of the Gadget Mobile) was produced for the French market. It was also released in Australia, but never in the United States.
Wow Jody What a thorough and enjoyable review Your techniques and animation are stunning and they really work in the format of your show. We never really got much inspector Gadget toys in the UK I only remember seeing it once in a toy shop. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Thanx Tez! Still tinkering with the format, but tbh pretty happy with this one. These Popy Bandai stuff seems to only have been released in a limited set of countries, and seem never to have made it to US, UK or NL ... :(
I loved this show as a kid. But never saw these tots in Australia. The Gadget mobile is great and has so much play value.... wish I could find one of these. Maybe an object of desire for 2021....

Blitzway have recently started releasing new Inspector Gadget action figures and they are pretty awesome. So far it's Gadget, Penny + Brain and Chief Quimby. The Gadget figure is incredible, best ever made. Hopefully they keep going so we can get new Dr Claw as well as possibly new Gadget/MAD Mobiles. Fingers crossed.
@@GenXToysGeek I do feel that Gadget is the only one that NEEDS to be articulated but yeah it is a bit of a niggle. At least they all have replaceable parts/accessories.
I wasn't aware of these until a few years back when spotting the M.A.D. Mobile on a fellow collectors FB images. There's another transforming Gadget Mobile from Tiger toys. But these are to me so much better.

Yeah I never saw them in NL either... A lot of the Popy Bandai stuff I find online, seem to originate from France. All the boxed versions I see of these are in French.

I never knew there was a toy version of the MAD Mobile! I had to make mine. I loved the concept of a car-sub-jet vehicle. Very nice video.

They must have reissued the Popy Gadget Mobile because I remember seeing it in stores in the 90's. I wasn't able to get one though.

On your Mad Mobile: Does the hatch in the roof to reveal the periscope get stuck? Mine does.
It was a bit tricky if I remember well, but didn’t get stuck stuck

you mean on the Gadget Mobile? there are indeed two popup things on the hood if that is what you mean. Are these laser guns?
