It's interesting how different the balancing on these games ends up being. In Genshin, optimizing your team means you get to bypass a large chunk of most fights, with reactions, off-field skills, and hefty buffs providing many ways of curbstomping even the hardest content. It's a nice payoff for all the grinding, but it also devalues content over time, as the challenge never really picks up in a notable way.
But in Wuthering, optimizing your team doesn't skip you past getting gud. You still need to actively engage with enemies, and in the case of the hologram challenges, sometimes risk a one-shot to get that valuable parry. No big buffs, no crazy heals, no off-field supremacy - it's all there, but you still need to bring your A-game. The risk vs. reward factor is a big part of why Wuthering is constantly getting praised for its combat. And I hope Kurogames will stick with the current form.
Except you are wrong about alot of that. Parrying makes every boss a joke verina's healing is basically 4 stacks and you are max health, every unit has frames through their alts [not just 5 stars], the hazards in the overworld get cleared out by quests in 10 minutes and the team comps truly don't matter.
You can stick with jiyan, yinlin and verina and just never need another team for anything except abyss. The elements don't have a purpose, every character has same character syndrome outside of combat EXCEPT FOR AALTO! The overworld is an overglorified side walk and echos are more of a pain to farm because you need to rng the hell out of the sonata effects. Not to mention how much everything costs resin wise and you can't sell echos for credits or use +0 ones for exp fodder....

@@Kyle81290 well when I stopped liking Genshin I stopped playing it. It was that simple for me. I don't understand why people force themselves to play something they think has so many flaws that it ruins their experience. If this makes me not critical, then okay. I'm personally here for enjoyment, so yeah.

Just because something can be parried doesn't mean it's easy and not all moves can be parried, one wrong move and you can get one shot. Compare this to Genshin's turn off brain gameplay where you can make 10 mistakes in a row but still survive because of bs mechanics.

@@adrianmikulski6845 Swap the language to legit anything else and boom. It's fixed. Bad optimization sounds like a PC problem. Ran fine for me, and all of my friends playing. Did the same thing for Genshin when it released on PC (Or whenever it was available for PC) Also I'm pretty sure you don't know bad optimization until you've played Solo Leveling arise on PC or Dragon's Dogma 2. Those games made my pretty beefy computer start humming like a airplane turbine, ran well don't get it twisted, however the CPU usage was crazy.

this is also how pgr works. you cant just nilly willy spam skills because you can. it works for lower rank bosses but when it comes to high end one's, you need to have at least know its attack patterns to get high scores. you can't rely on 6* to one shot bosses, there no cheesing this one with money alone.

With how every unit has skill cut ins you can just I frame through so many attacks and if you use taoqi you can easy parry the majority... the only things that are hard are the lv 120 enemies if you are low rank.. except for the bear you can cheese..
@@nobody-xh6ii for red overworld miniboss specifically, you just have to always dodge counter. it deals true dmg based on boss hp so even a level 1 unit can clear if u dodge every single thing. and its way faster than cheesing with a gun from a specific spot

Depends. The fights are still timed so you have to have adequate stats/DPS. You can grind to obtain it as a F2P so it isn't all bad but you can't just get gud, take a no gear (echo), level one character and beat endgame content like a souls game.
No, you still need to build it too, cause there's no fucking way lvl 40 characters gonna beat diff 5 diff 6, so this game is pretty balance for the players characters and the boss stats, mid build for mid stats boss like diff 1 till diff 3, diff 4 if you skilled enough

As a Honkai Impact player, i found WuWa's battle to be fun and the dodge mechanic just feels better in general compared to PGR (yes, i used to play PGR too), but doesn't feel alien when compared to HI3 too.
Then again, it feels funny when seeing people who started in Genshin and played Wuwa and seething at how it was "difficult". Like, bro, you play too much Genshin, a game that plays differently and doesn't have proper dodge mechanic.

Something I noticed here. Everyone was using different characters. Yeah there are clearly more popular ones but it's cool to see at such high levels so many characters being so viable whether they're 5 star or 4. I learned that myself the more I've played. I've done the dumb thing and stretched my resources then leveling characters because they all feel so fun and varied to play. While there's always gonna be a meta, for alot of the content it's less about that and more about your personal skill with each character and which ones you enjoy playing. Other than elemental weaknesses, the sky's the limit.

The first thing I like doing in these games is unlocking as much of the map as possible, so running into the lvl 120 bear was a pretty nasty surprise. Had to cheese it on my third try with Baizhi putting up ice walls (I gave her that spider-car thing) and just attacking from a distance.
