Stevie Nicks needs to do a real true DEMO CD set with the raw demos, when she was younger, when her voice is pure & perfect... God I pray she releases these on a cd!
It's incredible hearing Stevie's creative process. Going from a 3am cocaine fueled acoustic demo with her voice whispering from all the strain and Shelly Yakus telling her to just get it recorded, to a take with complete instrumentation, a powerful vocal, and a clear coherent story being told. In the Julia demo the whole thing seems all over the place, but somehow this is the outcome. Stevie must be at her best when everything is all over the place. She's really a true creative genius.
I have loved Stevie since 1975, and had I known she wrote a song with my name...well, I would have had my mind blown as a teen those many, many years ago..😊 3:13 😊❤.❤❤❤
This is one of my favorite Stevie songs! This song should have been included on Bella Donna! Truly one of her best! Love to hear her record this now. I know it would be amazing! Her voice is amazing! Truly the Queen of Rock and Roll!
I loved the album, I love the outtakes that Jeremy Doe has provided for us to listen to, I mean the hard core loyal devoted Stevie Fans will truly admire this one, so enjoy!fffffffffffff
This too is my favorite Stevie song ever. I was so wishing for it on her 2011 album. Oh well, maybe next time. There are many complete audio demos of this song. I hope some more will be posted so that all the Stevie fans who love Lady From The Mountains and Annabell Lee will convince Stevie to also record and release a full studio mix of Julia.
This song would have been great with the other songs on 24 Karat Gold. Especially The Dealer. Still not sure why this wasn't even made into a bonus track.
Thank you Jeremy Doe, your Stevie Nick’s outtake ‘s are fantastic. “I would suffer for the love, suffer for the love”. I thought I would never do it again. So the old cliche, “never say never”.✌️❤️🦆
I will ride through the snow In an old-fashioned carriage... Drawn by a small golden horse She runs like the wind... yeah... When I run through your door I am freed from my slavery And the fire will be burning... long before You return to me For in my house No teasing spirits No false laughter No one has to tell me To be there... no one I'll be there... And I would suffer for the love I would suffer for the love... I would cry... to be moved I do two things these days... And these nights Julia is no fool People ask me... they ask me They say, "So Julie, just what is it that you do now?" She does two things... Two things Well, in the light of the sunset She does the stars... And she does you I love the stars I give to you what I love Who is the child Who disregards all your rules? I would suffer for the love... I would cry... to be moved I do two things these days... and these nights Julia is no fool People ask me... they ask me They say, "So Julie, just what is it that you do now?" Well she does two things Well, in the light of the sunset She does the stars... And she does you No fool... She does two things Two things... Well, in the light of the sunset She does the stars... And she loves you She loves the stars... She loves her stars... Suffer for the love... She loves the stars... and she loves you
I've always loved Conway Twitty's song "Julia", which is a completely different song with different lyrics, but equally as beautiful and great! I want to name my daughter, Julia! That's if I'm blessed with a child one day! ❤️
Attention Dave Stewart and Stevie: I hope this will be on 24 Karat Gold : Songs from the Vault. It's my favorite song that hasn't been officially released. And please re-record Smile at You and make it more like the demo, not neutered, like on Say You Will.
I prefer these old outtakes to the New 24 karat gold because Stevies voice had a cutting edge in her youth that isn`t quite there anymore. After the mid eighties the Nicks factor in her voice was gone. I am not trolling some arguement. Just my opinion. I am a huge fan and have been one for 25 years. I was hoping she might gather all her old unfinished/finished-unreleased old stuff on an official vinyl/cd. Should sound great on analog due to these recordings being recorded in the anolog time era. 24 karat gold is a treat. Why not throw out an alternative "original" as well. This song is by the way Nice but I do understand that it did not make the cut for Bella Donna. Something has to give when Your as prolific a writer as Stevie was.
I agree with you on her vocal quality loosing it's spark. Interesting to see the different reactions people had to her changing voice. 24 Karat Gold was nails on a chalk board to me and In Your Dreams was a very mixed bag. Once I didn't find her voice flawless, I can see where a lot of people checked out earlier with clear understanding. I think Julia would have been the second or third best cut on Belladonna, but Belladonna has always been my least favorite Stevie album by a huge margin.
aquavitvibes72 it comes and goes... the Street Angel tour features that "Nicks factor" as you call it and some subsequent performances where you can see she's really going for it.... I think it's an energy thing more than her voice. Once she got off coke, it started taking more energy to get to that level again
"24kg" is one of my favorite Nick's albums. The title track is actually one of my fave songs now from her. The bass, then drums kick in, then the song starts with an amazing vocal delivery.
I agree with Jeremy that this song and the Dealer should have been on 24 Karat Gold...I LOVE THIS SONG AND there are certain other songs that touch me in a certain way. POWER TO THE QUEEN!
in My opinion...you know what would have been better than 24 karat? the demos in their original bootlegged form! 24 karat sounds Totally rushed , which Really ruins the emotion all those demos have. sorry dave but yep. "i would cry - to be moved...."
I liked a few of the contemporary takes as well or better than the originals, but I think Blue Water was completely gutted and ruined on 24K. No emotion or magic at all, just a sing-a-long ditty. It got scrubbed clean.
Yes! I would buy each song individually if I had to. I just want these gems in their raw forms and would be happy to support Stevie and pay for them after enjoying them for years.
@@toddtanner879 - while I don’t dislike the 24K Blue Water revision I do think the original demo here I discovered way back in 2007 is one of her very best demos/outakes. It’s beautiful and unrushed. The vocals, harmonies and piano are perfection like many of her demos.
My queen take me with you please please make another Buckingham and nicks album with new songs for us to cherish come on come on Fleetwood Mac get back together true love never really dies I will always love Fleetwood Mac give us more to cherish

She has! 2024 boxed set and demos Rhino records! A must for Stevie lovers like me and you!
I Love Stevie dearly but I do find myself listening more and more to her younger music.
She should release this as is… it’s perfect . You hear me out there Stevie!

I've never heard this song before!
Thank you, Stevie
the part when she says the 🔥 will be burning long before u return to me brings me to tears
My favorite ever of ALL her songs
I am so crazy about Stevie. She knows it. 40 yrs of following her every move.
she knows ? how ?
@@carlosestebanlopezmaldonad1788 The FBI informed her. LOL.
I have too since 40 years. I fell in love with a girl in Maryland while she was singing.
I’m dying for this to be released
This is one of my favorite Stevie songs! This song should have been included on Bella Donna! Truly one of her best! Love to hear her record this now. I know it would be amazing! Her voice is amazing! Truly the Queen of Rock and Roll!
but it's not a demo. This is a finished song, why re record it?
I loved the album, I love the outtakes that Jeremy Doe has provided for us to listen to, I mean the hard core loyal devoted Stevie Fans will truly admire this one, so enjoy!fffffffffffff
reminds me of The Dealer. Thanks for sharing with Stevie Nicks fans.
the best song writer of all time!!
I have 2 get my Stevie fix for the day!!

gods this gorgeous ❤

We can only hope for Songs From The Vault Volume 2.
Michael Kindborg
Stevie said in her Q&A the other day that Julia was supposed to be on 24K Gold but will most likely make 24K Volume 2. :)
I somehow had a premonition she had plans for volume 2.
+Michael Kindborg wait? There's possibly a part two?! Yay!!! 🙌🏼❤️
I’m not sure why it wasn’t .. it’s perfect as is.
Her voice sounds beautiful. Love this great chic song. ✨✨🦆
Thank you Jeremy Doe, your Stevie Nick’s outtake ‘s are fantastic. “I would suffer for the love, suffer for the love”. I thought I would never do it again. So the old cliche, “never say never”.✌️❤️🦆
Stevie snd Dave - PLEASE say this will be on 24 Karat Gold! It's wonderful. ♥
Just found this. Its gorgeous. Stevie at her best. I listen to it almost everyday.
Same here.
I will ride through the snow
In an old-fashioned carriage...
Drawn by a small golden horse
She runs like the wind... yeah...
When I run through your door
I am freed from my slavery
And the fire will be burning... long before
You return to me
For in my house
No teasing spirits
No false laughter
No one has to tell me
To be there... no one
I'll be there...
And I would suffer for the love
I would suffer for the love...
I would cry... to be moved
I do two things these days...
And these nights
Julia is no fool
People ask me... they ask me
They say,
"So Julie, just what is it that you do now?"
She does two things...
Two things
Well, in the light of the sunset
She does the stars...
And she does you
I love the stars
I give to you what I love
Who is the child
Who disregards all your rules?
I would suffer for the love...
I would cry... to be moved
I do two things these days... and these nights
Julia is no fool
People ask me... they ask me
They say,
"So Julie, just what is it that you do now?"
Well she does two things
Well, in the light of the sunset
She does the stars...
And she does you
No fool...
She does two things
Two things...
Well, in the light of the sunset
She does the stars...
And she loves you
She loves the stars...
She loves her stars...
Suffer for the love...
She loves the stars... and she loves you

I think it more has to do with her cocaine habit that she eventually kicked in the late 80s and probably the effects of old age
