Such a lovely simple delicious rasam without rasam powder. Thank you soooooo much ma'am. Love you for your soft beautiful way of presentation making us want to cook all these nutritious dishes you're showing us.
It is always a pleasure to watch your video... I am very much new to this vessel.. I have never heard of it also. Of course I am from Maharashtrian family but I used to have Tamil friends in my younger days... I liked the shape of this vessel.. Really very cute... But while making rasam one has to be very alert and should not be in hurry to keep gas on high... Thanks once again for bringing so much good recipes every time 😍😍
Lovely, Gita! I’ve started going back to my roots as well….. eeya chombu, kal chatti, vengala paanai et all. Like you rightly said, our ancestors had such wisdom that a few generations chose to ignore or even criticize. Thankfully, good sense and pride in our amazing roots is slowly coming back.
@Suraxa1970 "Lovely, Gita! I’ve started going back to my roots [...] a few generations chose to ignore or even criticize. Thankfully, good sense and pride in our amazing roots is slowly coming back." =================================================== It's nice that you are using 'traditional' utensils. We use several of them in our home too. BUT if you find that "our ancestors had such wisdom", why are you using the Internet, computers, cell phones, and so on? None of these came about by the efforts of "our ancestors (who) had such wisdom". ALSO, I hope that you are putting your money where your mouth is by refraining from using using implements such as gas stoves, induction stoves, hot plates, infra-red cooktops, and so on either, for your cooking. Surely these too did not come about by way of "our ancestors (who) had such wisdom". RATHER, with good sense and pride, you should stick to y(our) amazing roots by using wood-fired and/or coal-fired stoves for your cooking, you know... and I SINCERELY hope that this is what you are doing. *P.S.:* I am well over 45; so please do not accuse me of being a part of "a few generations that chose to ignore or even criticize".
