Great card, not sure where I saw it, but if you line the lid of a box with silver foil and put your card to be embossed inside and then use your heat tool, it not only melts the powder faster because the foil reflects the heat, but it also reduces the warping of the card, it really works (I just hold the card down with my pokey tool) 🥳🥳

This elegant card is so versatile! I can imagine it as a holiday or sympathy card as well as a thank you. I remember being mesmerized by Bob Ross’s painting talent. He made happy little trees and amazing pictures! Thanks for the inspiration!
What a beautiful card! If I did it, I would love myself too...hehehe! Oh, girl, I know what you mean with your wrist. I sewed for 36 years. The first 11 weren't that bad because it was lingerie. However, the next 25 were upholstery material! So, my wrists, fingers, shoulders, and back have taken a lickin' but they ain't tickin' too good anymore!
Yeah, we've been having some issues the past month or so. Not super fun!
Thank you for inviting me into your craft/dining room. My granddaughter and I make cards at my kitchen table and enjoy the cozy, familiar setting located so near the refrigerator!! You always make me smile, often make me laugh, and never fail to inspire me. This card is incredibly beautiful in it's simplicity. Kudos!

Love this! Bob Ross is the patron saint of painted forests. He would have dragged a long black tree trunk down one side as we watched in horror. Then he would have scratched in a happy little cabin. Like you, he makes things look easy. And makes you believe that you, too, can do it. Thanks for the inspiration!

Why do you have so many different ink pads. Seems Gina k Simon Says and distress inks etc.... Which do you think for everyday stamping is the best value and lasts?
Hey Paula, thanks for your question. I have different stamp pads from different companies because I have work in the craft industry for 20 years so he's part of my job to test out products and see how they work. The truth is, all of the stamp pads I use are super high-quality and they all last. But I still have stamp pads from Stampin' Up! that I bought 25 years ago that still have ink in them so I guess using high-quality products is a good thing. In my opinion, dye inks are best for every day stamping. That is what Gina Ks are… and Simon… they give you crisp images but you can also use them for ink blending and even for painting with water. Hope that helps!
Side note: I have had my Gina K ink cubes, for example, for four years and only one has had to be reinked!
The best feeling is when the card you’ve just made makes you giddy with delight! I was feeling it for you Cathy! It’s such a pretty card!

3 January 2021 - Have you given any thought on a spin for a new series: "I forgot you were on the shelf, ole little unused stamp set still in the package" -- "and here's how I can bring you to life!"?? It's not so much about the "NEW", but rather taking a new, fresh approach in 2021: using what I have, new fun-fold styles, new techniques, new styles/formatting, changing the design elements of a project, learning something new, better use of what I have, etc. All of this has no additional expense involved. I think there will be a mindset change for many crafters this year and many are looking for a "Creative Explosion" to occur; I know I am seeking something new and fresh.
I have one Sequoia tree stamp, just about the size of your stamp. (Got it in honor of granddaughter Sequoia.) Now I am inspired to CASE your card. I think since you've already done the hard part, the layout, the colors, etc., I might be able to craft long enough to do one quick card before my back sends me back to bed. Oh, I hope so! I think it's beautiful! A masterpiece! Thank you for inspiring me and making me smile! Hugz!

Loved Bob Ross. I have an oil painting I did from one of his kits way back in mid 90s. I was so pleased with myself, that I even had it framed! Lovin’ your card. 😊❤️🇨🇦

I use a toothbrush from the hospital 😆 They gave me a few when my husband was there for a massive heart attack. It’s one of the necessities you don’t have when you’re gone in an emergency. Actually, they gave me 2 and I asked for a couple more. Interesting, they actually have slots cut into the handle, so I’m able to hang them up. Lord, the things we do and use in the name of crafting! Bawhaha! Lovely card! ❤️

100% agree with you - I can't ink blend to save my life with the foam blenders; it's always a splotchy mess. Light hand, heavy hand, saturated foam, doesn't matter - looks like a disaster each and every time. The blending brushes...*queue angelic trumpets* have completely saved me from selling/giving away all my ink-blending supplies, lol! And yes, love "the Bob"! :) I used to watch him on public access channel with my Grandma back in the late 70s.
I only started watching Bob a few years ago and was hooked!
You always make me laugh!! You have such awesome scrapping skills, you should’ve known it would carry over to card making!! Thanks Lori! There are definitely a lot of decisions and I think the thing I like about this video series is that I don't know what's going to happen when I start. I don't know if I would keep the video and put it on my channel if it was the ugliest thing alive. Maybe that would be a good thing? lol!

New Westminster??? That is where my grandma lived for much of her life. Visited a number of times, played in a park near her apartment building with a giant wooden boat. Fun memories!
Have you tried using a whiteboard eraser to put pressure on your stamp?
I have not! But… I have to have my hand turned to the side to avoid the pain, if that makes sense! I have heard a white board eraser is a good idea!
Maybe attach a small diameter aluminum can or piece of dowling to the eraser, size dependent on how small your grasp. Allows to turn and rest hand on eraser?

I remember Bob Ross. In fact, I started painting before I started stamping. Bob Ross retired in Maitland, Florida back in the 80's and bought my coworkers house just around the corner from our workplace. I never got to meet him though - so sad he died relatively young from doing what he loved. The brush cleaner he used caused brain cancer. He was a wonderful painter and loved animals.
Oh wow! I had not heard that about the cleaner. So sad, such a loss.
Firstly, your nails are on point! Love the color. The card is just gorgeous and I love the soft clean and simple look - just perfect. And if you're not having fun crafting, you need to find something else to be doing, because it should always be FUN!

Cathy, you are so real and so funny, except that I think you downplay your talent and skill. I love the serenity of the card you made. I personally think I would add two trees on each side, very, very light for distance even white, coming off each of the side edges of the panel. Just to give the eye-dea (see what I did there??) of something beyond the forest. But that's just me. I really like the stamp set and your work. Thanks for sharing with us from the craft/dining room. I hope you're not going to have to clear our the craft stuff for Thanksgiving dinner! It may be easier to eat on paper plates sitting on the back deck.
We are not hosting any large gatherings, due to Covid, and so… we will eat as a family of four in our kitchen. No clean up needed! lol!

I went through your links but the description nor the pictures show a beveled edge. I also did a broader search but still couldn’t find this product. Am I missing something? Our county rec center actually has certified Bob Ross painting classes. I've taken a couple and while I am certainly no Bob they were lots of fun. I was surprised by how the paintings came together. Another great card!
