    You are WONDERFUL! When you said you were mesmerized by your own skill and then talked about your freakishly long arms, I thought I was going to lose it. My friend kept asking me what I was laughing at. You are so talented and make me feel better about my stamping skills. I am new and have many things to learn from you and much laughter in store. Thank you for all of it! Barbara from Texas

      Oh Laura, thank you for commenting today… I just had a comment of someone saying, "This was so simple… nothing new here" or something like that and I thought, "I am SO glad you took the time from your busy day to share that with me. No, really… thank you so much."
      Most people are awesome, like you, and the 99%. Some folks? We place them into different categories.

      Someday, I would love to have a drink with the two of you...you both have such a fun outlook on life, which I am appreciating in the midst of being in school leadership during a pandemic. Like I said before, I would watch either of your videos, even if it was just a crumpled piece of cardstock!

    Thank you for another great video. I love how you reinforce what you've taught us in past videos...white space, contrast, odd nos., etc. And, I'm with you about stamp positioning tools. Several years ago, I also walked away from card making because I couldn't stamp worth a hoot ... it would be crooked, not enough ink, too much ink, splotchy, etc. But when I discovered the Misti and others my confidence grew and I returned. Have a beautiful day.

    • @czdesign
      @czdesign  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, Rosy! So much yes. I just don't have the dexterity to stamp with a block. Some of us have the gene, some don't! The MISTI levels the playing field for the less coordinated among us!

    Cathy, I was reading through some of the comments left and saw your reply to one that someone said this was nothing new. I want to thank you for doing this series. Yes, this was a simple card but I loved the way you showed your entire thinking process, that is what made the video so "real". My only comment would be to ask if there is a way you could up the volume a bit. I had my volume completely up but still struggled to hear some of your comments. People complaining about a 40min video.... Dude, sometimes we keep staring at a new stamp set for three days in a roll and nothing happens... 😅 40min to create something from zero is pretty good actually haha I love you and your energy 🥰 This videos are giving me courage to give my new and unused stamps a try! Now we need other series, like "new beautiful papers, now what?" or "new dies, now what?" 😅😅😅😅

    Quote is from "This is Spinal Tap"! One of my favorite movies! In fact, I've quoted that movie so many times and I'm still surprised at how many people haven't seen it. Love your videos and your sense of humor..."you bring it to 11". :)

    I have been stamping for over 25 years but I love watching someone else make a card because there is always something that they do differently in their construction or design that may make things easier for me. I always use my tweezers to remove backing and add foam squares to my cards. I like the way you use the swiffer wipe on your Misti, it makes sense to me. I love this card and the black sentiment was the way to go. If you had chosen the green instead of the yellow, I might have preferred the green. Thanks for giving us things to think about and some darn good cards.

    I liked both options. If I used the yellow, definitely would’ve put the smaller sentiment underneath in black. Beautiful card as usual. Now I want to try the background method you did. Thank you:)

    Hey, Cathy! LOVED this! I was super bummed to miss it live (dang that whole work thing! LOL), but the suspense of waiting to watch it was rewarded with a helpful video that brought me a ton of happiness (and giggles!) this afternoon. *Thank you,* for sharing your polish info (sidenote: I found out online via swatches that I already pretty much have that color and it happens to be one I adore and wear often..... I guess I'm a creature of habit to have seen the pink on your nails and gone "NEED THAT!" lol)
    And please, don't stop chatting like you do on these live videos - it makes it all the more fun to watch (and to keep paying attention to!!!!)

    I love the detail in your online tutorials. So what if they take 5 minutes or 55 minutes, you are very detailed and isn’t that the point of a tutorial?? If someone doesn’t like the length of the video, they don’t have to watch it. Keep up the great work!!!!!

    I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I own a few background stamps and haven't done much with them. Thanks for giving me ideas. I have straight embossed and placed a sentiment, but have not done emboss resist with them. May have to pull them out and give this a try one of these days. Thanks for bringing a smile to my face!

    Cathy, take it from an old teacher: I love being a student in your ‘classroom’. From here in Australia. I love your personality and at times I laugh out loud at your little quips. Silence? Schmilence. Keep talking and don’t fill those spaces. Everything you say is worth hearing. Namaste. 🙏

    I like the white sentiment on black better. I find that the yellow gets lost on the background. Black embossing on the yellow might work, too. Love seeing and hearing your thought processes!

    I use a piece of cardstock to tap off the colours. This gives nice backgrounds for other projects.
